New blog post: "Why train?" on the finding motivation that is personal to you

The reasons for why each person exercises are as varied and multiple as we are. The key is finding the why, as this will then influence the how.

Why are we motivated to exercise? And how will the answer to that question affect the way in which we do?

Finding the answer to the “why” question is important, as it enables us to get to the core motivation behind taking the actions that we are.

when foreign workers move here, they become invested in this country doing well. You know why? Because they bloody live here. Somewhere they have chosen to live, worked hard to move to and want to be part of. That aspiration is exactly what we should be embracing. People view this country as somewhere they can make their lives better. Don't you dare sneer at that.

Having worked for a number of years in the service industry, I've worked with a high number of EU and non-EU immigrants, who work really long hours, for really crap pay, with often very demeaning treatment from customers, on zero hour contracts. There are a lot of British people who don't want to work those kind of jobs, and don't apply for them. There is no grand conspiracy to hire non-British people, it's a matter of hiring people who want the jobs, and do them well. I can give you plenty of examples if you would like some. 

You know what else foreign workers do in this country? They pay rent in this country. They buy food in this country. They buy clothes in this country (even from companies owned by British people who don't pay tax in this country). They pay income tax to HMRC, national insurance tax, tax on cigarettes, tax on alcohol, VAT. They contribute to the British economy, because they live here, work here, spend money here and pay taxes here. 

Yesterday marked my first expedition into the world of homemade pizza, and lets just say that it went well! Made myself four wholemeal pizzas, and the only part that wasn’t handmade was the mozzarella (I think if I descended into homemade cheese my flatmate might object). Here’s how the pizzas are made:
