Al-Hashimiβs switch up on Langdon is completely logical given that sheβs now recontextualized the Langdon/Santos beef. Itβs likely not even about the stealingβitβs about the fact that she can now connect the dots that Langdon was a senior resident retaliating against an intern who reported him for a legitimate reason. Her understanding of how he handles power has completely shifted. Not to mention Langdon also spoke with deliberate vagueness when Al-Hashimi asked him DIRECTLY about the nature of the issue with Santos. Now that she knows the truth, his evasiveness in that prior exchange is probably more damning than the actual info. If anything, she might even take it as Langdon trying to manipulate HER (and lowk he was, just to protect himself).
So of course sheβs now gonna make sure heβs not steamrolling over Javadi (even if that wasnβt his intent). She probably has questions about his treatment of those who rank lower than him and is moving quickly to put up guardrails until she has a better picture of whatβs going on. Iβm interested to see what she does next or if she takes any action this season at all, but so far I appreciate how often weβve seen her immediately reorient herself to protect the most vulnerable person/people in a situation.
"why do lesbians complain so much that huge amounts of people don't consider stories about two women to be interesting when they aren't even personally interested in being writers" - extremely measured and fair critique coming from someone who is definitely huge woman enjoyer
me when I'm in a "wants that cookie BAD" competition and these two show up (I'm cooked)
Whitaker is easily liked because heβs compliant. Santos isnβt easily liked because sheβs defiant. The most well liked person in the room caring about the most βdifficultβ person to like as if itβs the easiest thing in the world to do. Everyone looking at him as if he were a saint for withstanding her, when to him she is his savior. Literally the most important platonic relationship on screen right now for me. Donβt look at me.

The whole "admit you like living with me" scene is comical but the funniest part is definitely the look of pure horror that crosses Trinity's face when she realizes that Dennis has caught on to the fact that she has mushy little feelings for him. It stood out immediately because I have never seen Trinity make that expression. She's been through some terrible shit while working at that hospital but nothing can be worse than people realizing you're not as nonchalant as you pretend to be.

Perlah in s2x13
i hope the ghost of samira mohan haunts the pitt the same way the ghosts of emily prentiss and jennifer jareau haunted the bau when they tried to get rid of them in s6.
Writing out Samira just as people started being more conscious and pointing out Robbyβs racist and misogynist treatment of her. Not to mention Supriya subtly speaking out in interviews. Yeah this was definitely targeted with a very personal motivation. Someone needs to shit that old man.
trinity santos i would kill a billion men for you. they could never make me hate you
victoria javadi embodies something about the rush to grow up. the rush to accomplish everything as soon as possible. and...for what? at the end of the day she'll be a doctor the same as mckay. and sure, she'll be an attending sooner. she'll have a few extra years of experience. her age might make her stand out a little more, but, eventually, it wont be as obvious how young she is. eventually, she'll just be a doctor, the same as the other doctors, and thats an achievement OBVIOUSLY, but is it worth it?
is it worth the childhood she lost? worth the experimental years? worth the normal college experience her parents would have definitely been able to afford? the one with friends and partying and dating? or maybe not that. maybe just quiet nights in the dorm or a small apartment, but a chance to be away from her parents all the same. a chance to grow and find herself.
because soon enough, she wont be the wunderkind anymore. and she'll look at those around her - santos, whitaker - who will probably be doing the same damn thing as her and shes going to realize that those sacrifices she made? not only did she not have to make them - SHE didnt make them. her parents made them for her (Her Dad Is Just As Complicit, hes just more persuasive).
And what was the rush for in the end? Truly?
Would it have ruined javadis chances at being a doctor to go at a more typical pace?
Or would it have given her too much time to think about what she actually wanted?
