the only reason susie and noelle don't ace the hammer game is because susie doesn't know the rules of the game (just as she doesn't know the rules of romance!!)

susie instead plays it on her own terms as a result and guess what, noelle finds it CUTE and FUNNY that susie broke the rules (something noelle desperately wishes she could do herself and is learning to do so in a healthy manner by spending time with susie)!!

then when noelle DOES explain the rules, susie still breaks the rules to make it work between the two of them!! because even if susie doesn't know the rules of society and romance, she cares about noelle and wants to make it work.

the same thing happens with the ferris wheel where it doesn't go up all the way (the 'rules' are quite literally broken) but both of them have a good time!! undisturbed by kris aka us the player!!
