Hey, all! Our development task this week is ASK MEMES. Your task is to send one or two messages to every other players’ inbox so that everyone has a nice little ask spam to answer. Admittedly the actual development-y bit of the task is answering them yourself, but the Herculean task is being bothered to send ‘em out, amirite?

HERE is a link to a list of ask memes -- feel free to pick any particular meme, so long as you’re sending out the full question and not just like... a useless symbol. You can also just write questions yourself if you have a specific question you want to ask -- maybe in relation to a few of the blind items that have come to light in the last 2 minutes when I could be bothered to post them??

Once you have sent your asks out, please like this post so we can keep track of who’s sent and who’s slacking. Then answer your own in your own time. That’s it -- simples.

With previews for Voice starting in less than two weeks’ time, it’s only fitting for some blind items about its cast and crew. No names for now, but expect scoops to get scoopier and identities to be revealed...

[1] One cast member has a crush on Voice’s choreographer, TGD’s Jake Puckerman. Our sources tell us there is a 0% chance that Puckerman would ever look at this wallflower, while the poor girl draws love hearts and writes ‘Mrs. Jake Puckerman’ on every available bit of paper. Cringe.

[2] Blaine Anderson is a big ol’ bottom. Shit, did we say no names?

[3] Totally unrelated to the item above, but one Voice cast member checked into a hospital to receive treatment for stitches. This injury occurred at the same time that this cast member filed assault charges in relation to a potential hate crime. Gay bashing, or just plain old bashing? Vote on our insta poll.

Good morning/afternoon/evening! It’s that time of the week where we announce an event for this weekend. ..................or is it?

This weekend, we’ll be doing things a little differently. There will be a discord only event running from Friday, 9:30pm GMT, to Sunday, 9:30pm GMT. We’ll make use of our event channel, our games, and also discord-based face-to-face interactions, but the dash will remain open to normal interactions. Feel free to make relevant social media posts, but otherwise, we’ll be sticking on discord and leaving dash interactions as they are.

We’re currently full (12/12) so the group is currently closed! Opportunities to join will only be available if/when we lose players, at which point, we’ll start advertising for whichever roles open up. We’re thrilled that there’s still interest in the group in the event that we lose players, so I’d recommend just checking back every so often (or checking the tags) to see whether any spots open up.

Good evening, good evening. Because I baited everyone earlier, I’m releasing our next development task today to satisfy all those curious minds.... drum roll please...  this week’s task is… TV TROPES.

For anyone not familiar with TV tropes, they’re basically just common tropes in the world of entertainment that can be applied to your character. The excellent news for everyone here is that, since we’re all playing canons, dedicated people on the internet have collected a list of TV tropes for our characters, meaning we don’t have to do it ourselves! The main point of this task is to pick the tropes that apply most to your character in this verse. My personal favourite Jesse trope (colour coded for your convenience) doesn’t really work for him here, so sadly I’ll be on the lookout for ones that fit dad Jesse a little better.

If you want to shop around or are struggling to apply canon tropes, the tropes definitely don’t have to come off your character’s canon trope page. There are a lot of tropes which means it can be overwhelming if you do venture off your character’s page, so I’d recommend looking for characters similar to yours to avoid just shooting in the dark. There’s a lot of fun ones but there’s also just so many.

You can express these tropes however you like – a graphic, a moodboard, a good ol’ fashion bullet point list. You could pick three or four and give a little headcanon or scene for them – you could pick like 20 and give us the full package. Here’s a little example of how I presented this task last time I set it -- but really, do whatever you want. Surprise me. Or don’t. It’s up to you.

It has been a big first week over at BACKSTAGE!

Firstly, VOICE’s incredible publicist, Tina Cohen-Chang set up interviews at the New York Times with members of the cast and crew. You can access these below:

Rachel Berry | Sam Evans | Jake Puckerman | Noah Puckerman | Marley Rose | Sebastian Smythe | Jesse St. James

The drama began early for our heroes, with director Jesse and his ingenue Rachel kissing not once but twice. Jesse has now asked Rachel to dinner to make up for it, but it definitely feels like this isn’t over. Rachel’s bestie Sam is believed by Rachel to be the only one that knows about this, though eagle-eyed costumer Kurt talked Jesse into a corner and elicited a confession.

Warring divas Quinn and Rachel begrudgingly agreed on a truce, based on respect for one another’s talent. How long will this makeshift alliance last?

Tensions between the Puckerman half-brothers continue to escalate, and have been noticed by the entire cast. Perhaps some kind of intervention may be required? However, this did serve to bring the elder Puckerman, Noah, and our supporting actress Quinn Fabray much closer.

Speaking of Quinn, she and her long time BFF Sebastian Smythe may be no more, after an argument at Rachel’s SAGs party escalated practically beyond repair. Quinn has tired of constantly looking after Sebastian like she has their entire life, and their recent status as eskimo siblings vis-a-vis Jake Puckerman has not made matters easier. Sebastian has since been banned from rehearsals for sexual harassment. Quinn has not looked back, locking lips with gorgeous producer Kitty Wilde.

And for our resident playwright, the drama continues. At Rachel’s party/disaster, Kurt told Sebastian of his feelings for him, however once it became clear that there would be nothing more than a one night stand, the two parted awkwardly, but cordially. Kurt instead finds himself pursuing a growing friendship understudy Blaine Anderson, while Sebastian spent some time helping supporting actor Sam Evans explore his sexuality. The one plus side for Sebastian? He and Marley have bonded over how attached Seb is to his dog. Perhaps this is a friendship that may develop?

Sam and Blaine continue to clash, though neither of them can really point to the catalyst for this feud - though it did come to a shouting match at Rachel’s party last weekend. On the other hand, Sam has become much closer with both Jake and Jesse, while Blaine spent Rachel’s party not noticing how much he has come to like spending time with one Kurt Hummel.

So many questions remain for the coming weeks. Will Sebastian ever be let into another rehearsal? Will Jesse and Tina reveal what really happened on their bad date, other than Tina puking on Jesse’s new $600 pair of shoes? And most importantly: will Blaine ever manage to win a point in Cards Against Humanity?
