Eulogy || Miguel O'Hara (tiktok)

Guess who saw the new spiderman movie ayeeeee. I actually reallllly loved the movie. The artwork was chef kiss and the different styles were to die for. Seriously can't give the artist enough praise in the movie!

Also-- I always have a thing for angsty bois-- so of course I love Miguel (Tho-- Hobie is a very close second ;D)

Mage Stede and Rogue Ed.

Stede being part of high society full of mages. Stede, not really fond of using magic or even wanting to be apart of that society decides he wants to be a rogue instead. Ends up running into a bunch of off peps and slowly they become a bandit group which was completely unplanned. 

Only to have Ed show up and go, “wtf is this? I love it.” 

Like all the peps in Stede’s crew could totally match with different things:

Black Pete & Olu - Archer/Bowman

Frenchie - Bard

Wee Jon - Ex-Knight/Soldier

Jim - Assassin

Lucious - Summoner

The Swede - Scout

Buttons - Ranger/Beast Master

Roach - Rogue

Aight gotta get this out there because I love weird history:

The old wives tale of “cats stealing breath” became a thing because cats would sleep next to small infants to find warmth. (Slight trigger: harm to infants) They would some times sleep on infants chest which because they were not as strong as adults it would cause... problems. Their lungs would give way and they would suffocate.

Cats being associated with witches happened in the 14th(?) century. During the time, people would get rid of cats because of them being associated with the Devil. This caused the Black Plague to spread even faster. Originally, cats would eat mice/rats to keep the population down; however, since cats were being mistreated, the cats couldn’t help keep the rat problem down. Since the plague spread even faster many people believed it was the work of the Devil through the cats.

Fast forward to the Church hunting down witches. During the Salem Witch Trials, people would come forward and saying they saw “witches” transform into cats. Witches had been known to make deals with the “Devil” and since the 14th century had already cause misinformation about cats, it grew even more during the 1600s-1700s.

so literally, Frenchie’s obsession with cats being the Devil/stealing breath/being witches happened in the 1700s.
