Hello, my name is Genevieve and I am in desperate need of financial help. About a month and a half ago I lost my job due to a combination of illness and being misled by the job’s qualifications, and have been homeless for over a year.

No one in my family is able or willing to help me with shelter or finances, and this is in spite of being aware that I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I have been struggling with suicidal thoughts and urges and I am very afraid I am losing. I have no one here who will help me.

In addition to that, I am a trans girl and a lesbian who lives in Florida and there is a good deal of anti-LGBT sentiment in this area. I cannot out myself to anyone for fear of my own safety, and this further limits the kind of aid I can seek.

The shelter I am staying at is a nights-only place which costs $7 a night. It is a ministry with a mandatory chapel service which has further stressed my mental health issues due to, again, heavy anti-LGBT sentiment and other issues that go hand-in-hand with this kind of organization.

I am nearly out of money for shelter, gas and food, and have cellphone and car insurance bills to pay. I am begging for help as I am so afraid that all I have struggled for will be for nothing.

I have recently signed on with a staffing agency and am waiting for work, but I do not have the funds to last until finding the job, let alone my first pay.

my tire has gone flat and i cannot afford to replace it, I cannot even afford to have it swapped with my emergency tire without giving up shelter money.
