Jung Soo: [removes his earbuds]

Soo Hyuk: did they break up?

Jung Soo: [slides to Soo Hyuk] [tugs his shirt] who broke up with who?

Soo Hyuk: [ignoring Jung Soo]

Rok Soo: [invested] hyung, hyung put that on speaker

Choi Jung Soo established "Hug Day!", which is a day when Kim Rok Soo absolutely cannot refuse his hyungs' hug.

The so-called Hug Day occurs 3 days a week. Hooray for number three! Hooray for our trio!

Lee Soo Hyuk finds his dongsaengs very cute. Kim Rok Soo and Choi Jung Soo would squabble for hours, but in the end, they would still hug, and just- melts. Which is adorable.

Once, Lee Soo Hyuk accidentally saw Kim Rok Soo lifting an arm of the sleeping Choi Jung Soo and put it around his body so the shy punk could snuggle closer to Jung Soo's chest. They both froze at the same time, albeit one in an amused manner, the other in dread. Not to say, Kim Rok Soo was mortified.

Cale tries to be stoic and unaffected about it, but everyone knows him well enough by now to see how his lips twitch with a suppressed smile and his eyes grow noticeably warm whenever someone claims a hug because “Hug Day!”

Well, most of the time. Cale still can’t get used to being hugged by Ron. He’s usually pretty stiff the whole time. 😅

I do think that he would dramatically cut down the frequency of Hug Days though, because of logistics if nothing else. The sheer number of people wanting to participate—and how far apart some of them live—means that Hug Day is a much bigger event than it used to be when it was just Lee Soo Hyuk and Choi Jung Soo casually reaching over (or walking down the hall at most) and pulling Kim Rok Soo into their arms as they liked.

The children averaging nine years old are all over it, of course, even though they already get plenty of pats and cuddles from Cale; because honestly why wouldn’t they? Basen and Lily are extremely excited to learn about “Hug Day”, and they can and will travel to wherever Cale is staying at the time to hug their beloved older brother even if they have to personally hike into the Forest of Darkness to do it; which of course Cale finds both dangerous and ridiculous, so he has Raon transport him directly to the Henituse Duchy so his siblings (and parents) can get their fair share of hugs.

The others participate to varying degrees depending on their personalities, but every time Hug Day rolls around Cale inevitably gets at least one hug from Choi Han, Alberu, Rosalyn, Mary, Eruhaben, Lock and all the Wolf children…
