Aaron Bushnell died. The active duty US soldier who self immolated in front of the Israeli embassy died of his wounds - he died screaming “Free Palestine” as he burned. He said he no longer wanted to be complicit in genocide. This is the second person to self immolate because of Palestinian Genocide and I hope his story doesn’t get swept under the rug like the first.
I thought I'd post about this because I've been thinking about this a bit recently. After studying in music and sound design, the DAW debate is really dumb, tiring and weird. It seems no one has worked out DAWs have many purposes and operate in a one glove doesn't fit all category. Each DAW has its pros and cons which means experimenting and trying different ones can help your understanding of elements a lot better.
I use FL for my production, composing and mixing BUT I'll switch to ableton if I want to play around with sounds, work on elements of sound design, recording or if I need to do live playing. I'll sometimes export layers between the two and play around with effects and tools native to each to get more out of sound.
The point I'm making is there's so many different jobs and elements to sound work, some of which don't even involve the music side of it. DAWs are all different for a reason as a result, so instead of arguing just get to making.
Tried some baila funk and jersey club over some dungeon synth okay !!! https://on.soundcloud.com/6Ar9n

It's really normal to be extremely over critical of your own work? Like, I don't know how to explain it but when I listen to my own music I really get uncomfortable, when I'm making it or mixing it I'm like this is cool. Yet once it's out I want to crawl into a hole and just never hear it again. It's like I look for any and every mistake, j have moments where I'm like no this is actually alright but it sort of consumes me that what I release isn't good.
Idk I try to make stuff for myself but when the stuff you make become the stuff you hate then what do you get?
Want to add its quite hard for me to talk like this, I really don't like to (and especially since I shitpost on here mainly) so don't give me any pity or anything, it's just a rambling! Cheers!

I think I've got a fucking problem
Real af book
I think Rei Kawakubo is the realest artist/designer with her method of being constantly dissatisfied with her products but never stopping releasing as it may destroy her ability to make things. I respect her for acknowledging the displeasure with one's own product in the creative space
