after graduating from stonegate in 2015, lucien moved onto harvard, and graduated with honours in 2019. having fulfilled the goal he had set out for himself of not messing around, or leaving his education, until having finished it, he decided that it was time to go on another roadtrip. one that was bigger than the last, and expanding to europe. his plans were set on hold, though, after his parents ( whom he had not talked to in almost four years ), called to tell him that his mother had given birth to a baby girl. burning bright with a desire to meet his sister, and hold her in his arms, he abandoned his roadtrip, and set his eyes on los angeles, california once more. with nothing holding him anywhere, especially after his break-ups with hart and lorelai, he knew that his place was in l.a. deciding that he would take care of his parents, and his sister, he immediately began to work on the plans he had put on hold because of his roadtrip. in no time lucien was accomplishing his dreams of opening up his own bookshop ( one which became quite successful for its unique ways ) and while he had published pieces of poetry throughout his years since the age of eighteen, by february 20th, 2020, he had published his first complete poetry book. ----- one with over two-hundred poems, all which recorded his struggles, his highs, his lows, his heartbreaks, libertine days, days on the road, and so on. he found that he wanted to live like that, wanted to inspire others with his poetry, help them find themselves and the world, give them a place to escape - it was the way he left his mark. not soon after, lucien bumped into old flame, bex dyson, while in a visit to harvard ( something he did often, always wanting to help ), and began a relationship with her. it was over a year of laughs, travels, and fun; of reliving the old days on the road and living on cigs and scotch. lucien, however, saw that his days of just that were over, and that he had made a happy living for himself, and broke it off - moving from new york back to los angeles. after his relationship with bex, lu thought back to his young days with lorelai, to his short lived roadtrip with her, and realising that she was truly the one, he began to write her with hopes that one day they could be together again. after all, his heart was never wrong, and he had bought her an engagement promise ring back in his first year at harvard to prove to her that she was his other half. - due to the break-up between them, lucien was never able to give it to her, but he has hopes that the day in which he is able to will arrive. meanwhile, he’ll continue to live and guide.
