During his senior year at Stonegate, Andy was going through a lot of emotions. For one, he was being pressured to find a college that would offer him the opportunity to choose a ânormalâ career instead of âthose silly movies youâre always makingâ because âfilm making wonât pay the bills or support a family, Andy,â as his father was always so quick to remind him. His mother on the other hand, agreed with Mr. Vickers in that Andy should find a career he enjoyed but that could also support him financially. To appease his parentsâ worries, Andy applied to numerous universities with the intent to study Communications. But something still didnât sit right with him and Andy knew he needed to apply to film school. Secretly, he applied to USCâs film program and was accepted. Andy threw caution to the wind and, after an extremely heated and long conversation, his parents finally gave in and agreed to pay the tuition.Â
With his career all figured out, next on his mind was his love life. During senior year, Andy was dating on again and off again, but still felt that something wasnât right. It was at Prom that he realized he was in love with his best friend, Wendy Wellerstein. The two were neighbors and basically inseparable, but the thought never crossed Andyâs mind that the two could be more than friends. When he saw her in her prom dress, dancing with another guy, jealousy overtook him and he couldnât stand watching them any more. He got into a fight with Wendyâs date and, later, a shouting match with Wendy right there on the dance floor. It was in this moment where he realized that she had been in love with him for so long and that he was an idiot for not noticing. They kissed and, the rest is history.
Being in a long-distance relationship was tough and, there were times where he wasnât sure he could balance Wendy and film school, but their dates during Winter and Summer breaks reassured him that she and him were in it all the way. Before he knew it, they were college graduates and were faced with the real world.Â
They moved into shitty apartment after shitty apartment while he was trying to establish himself as a director, with Wendy putting her degree to use. Meanwhile, Andy was taking any and every gig offered to him and just couldnât wait to get his big break. Soon enough, his films began to garner more and more of a following and some of his films even made it to festivals. His career took off and he was beginning to find himself sitting in the same room as Ron Howard, Martin Scorsese, and even George Lucas.Â
With his career taking off and the money flowing into his bank account, Andy decided it was time for him and Wendy to settle down and, after the premiere of his newest film, he and Wendy went on a private boat ride along the river where he had wine, snacks, and romantic music. The boat docked at a private island that was set up very similarly to their Senior Prom. âThat was the night I fell in love with you and, as you can recall, it wasnât exactly out of a movie.â They shared a dance and then Andy proposed. Being a movie fan, it wasnât a surprise that he had timed it just right so that the fireworks went off at the right moment. Their wedding was one for the books with celebrities and Hollywood elite all in attendance.Â
Andy finally had the perfect, movie-worthy life he had desired for so long and time could only tell what was next for him.Â
