Oh, did you? Where did you go in Cali? Last time I was there Adam tried to peer pressure me into buying an apartment in the valley, but I just hate LA.

Oh, I actually went to LA. I personally loved it, but I can understand why people might not like it. Especially to live in. The vibe’s probably totally different once you switch from tourist to citizen. Plus, it’s probably like super duper expensive ‘cause it’s a popular destination and it’s a big place.

Tanning evenly is so hard because you have to like, constantly turn around, like thirty minutes on your back and another thirty minutes on your belly. This so doesn’t sound like a friend, you hesitated, ohhh, spill! 

I mean I didn’t even purposefully tan, if I’m honest. This is just from me walkin’ ‘round and possibly the occasional trip to the beach. Uh- it’s complicated, I guess. He’s my ex...but not really? I mean we broke up, but we kind of both admitted to each other recently that we both still have feelings for each other. So while I was in Cali we kinda agreed to sorta ‘date’ or whatever...like, do couple-y things but not be like...exclusive or whatever. Like I said, it’s sorta complicated.

Well, yeah, you’re right there. Eh, I’m like, too white, I burn way too easily. Oh my god, you’re making me more jealous but at the same time I don’t want you to stop talking about it. California boys must be hot as hell, lucky you, and wow, their tans are probably on point, ugh, I wish.

But your skin is like a baby’s. Don’t hate yourself for something you can;t change. I used to want pale skin, like seriously. Just chill man, at least you can wear yellows. It was great looking at ‘em, but my eyes were on one super hot Californian guy in particular if y’know what I mean. 

Rub it in much? How’d you get there, anyway?

Oh yeah, it was super hot and sunny and the guys were super buff and tanned it was great. Um, by plane? I flew there and my super hot ex-boyfriend picked me up and we went to his super radical Californian mansion and had really hot sex all night long. L-O-L, I kid, I kid. But seriously, how else would I get to LA?

“You were in California? Darling, you should have called —– I’ve just arrived from Los Angeles...we could have come back together.”

“Did you go stay with Arabella and Archer by any chance? I met with them on the first day of the trip; they looked absolutely stunning, radiating with happiness - California has done them nothing but good.”

“Lu, babe, you know I totally would’ve if I wanted company. However, I was kinda in Cali to hang with someone in particular. Nothing personal, it’s just...I hadn’t seen him in a long while, so spending time with him was kinda my main priority.”

“Ouh, California suits you! God, I totally wish you’d taken me with you, because I’m so having a ‘tan jealousy’ moment right about now. Because, I mean, look at you in all of your golden radiance!”

“Oh my dearest Lorelai, you’re too kind, really. But seriously, you’re like naturally this colour so don’t even complain. You’d rock LA, actually. There was this super pretty beach me and my friend went to called Santa Monica Beach. I reckon you’d spend every second there. There’s a ferris wheel and roller coasters but also it’s super pretty and it has an amazing view ‘round sunset. Plus, the guys sure aren’t bad lookin’.

Well that’s considerate of you both then… My brothers all eat like pigs. And they make messes just as bad.

Well, your brothers sound like bavarians. I kid, I kid. Your brothers sound like normal boys. My brother and I grew up with a heavy female influence, so we’ve learnt some manners thanks to that.

“I so don’t. You’re lying to me. I look like a Mexican had sex with a chocolate labrador. It’s been scientifically proven.”

Noooo, stop, I don’t wanna think about California.  I miss it too much.

Lyric, literally any place is better than Roseboro, like seriously. I’m so jealous right now. One, because I’m too pale to get a tan, and two, I’ve literally never been to California before. 

Not Guantanamo Bay. Guantanamo Bay isn’t better than Roseboro. Don’t worry Lex, you’d look weird with a tan. Your porcelain skin is so pretty, don’t even stress it. Neither had I until about a week ago. It’s so lovely, oh my gosh. The beaches are so beautiful, the sand it so nice and it’s super hot. Also there’s a lot of super attractive guys over there. It’s a nice treat. 

Any place is better than Roseboro really, hands down. Nice tan, I’m glad you’re happy! Which city did you go to?

Thank you! I’m super happy I tanned evenly this time. Sometimes I go all splotchy. I went to Los Angeles to visit an old...friend. I had a good time spending my days with them. I hadn’t seen ‘em in a while.
