"Holy Land" webcomic (work in progress)

Hey guys so... due to a recent bit of controversy... i might be going inactive. You see... posting all your ideas before actually putting out a product... can maybe lead to someone stealing them......... yeah someone started stealing my idea.... so i won't be posting much in here anymore. Not to mention my crazy schedule. Anyways, thanks if you ever see this, and i hope i can make this comic an actual thing One day. -Harry

Thank you Maiya, and welcome to the team!

Alright, this time we've got one more species, today we have the mysterious, the strange... Humans OK OK i already got a message from someone asking me to do Angels next, but I'm saving those guys for last. Anyways. Before i do this, quick reminder that this takes place 300 or so years after the opening of the portals. That's around the amount of time that as of yet, the United States have existed. That was before electricity... so at this point i think that the technology given to the human faction is actually sub-par. Then again... a hundred or so years as slaves and only recent recognized independence would set you back a bit technologically. Anywho I'm not going to be explaining what humans look like. What I will explain is culture and tech. First of all, by humans we mean any survivors that were left behind after the majority of North and South America went through a mass evacuation. These are descendants of people who were trapped in the citys when the species came to control them, or people that had no way to be told about the evacuation, or simply people too stubborn to leave. This leaves us with (give or take) about 150,000,000 people. So, just about half the population of the United States. Unfortunately for them though, that number didn't last long, and in that next century the human population dwindled to just about a third of what was left a hundred years prior. Humans were treated alike to spirits, as slaves, but often a demon or angel group would kill a human and force them as a spirit to work instead. Luckily for the human race, they finally gained an upper hand when a human in what used to be South East Mexico created the first ever Exo. the first model was not very effective, and was overly bulky, but after tweaks and very careful smuggling into northern human territories in the Rocky mountains, humans finally had an even playing field. After that, humans congregated into what used to be Denver, and took back the area from angels using the recently rediscovered gun technology. To this day humans still hold Denver, and it has become the biggest of all human cities. Since then humanity has become a xenophobic but prosperous group, with ambitions of taking back their homeland. You could describe their current society as sort of cyberpunk, having spent one and a half centuries working towards anything to get to the same level as demons angels spirits and reapers. This technology includes the rediscovered idea of the "internet" although it's far smaller and only available in three human cities and used only for information, calculations, and management, due to the resources not being cheap enough for recreational use . This is also along with various small things like wireless communication. Which is limited to military use only. Speaking of the military, most human advancements were military technology, such as explosives, armored vehicles, a far improved version of a helicopter/jet type thing, and other such things. Human society is currently communistic, which is for the good of keeping everyone alive with limited redirected m resources. They have a dictator that also is the main military commander, who by custom is a descendant of Hugo Peron, the previously mentioned creator of the first exo, who led the original march on Denver. Anyways i forgot to post this on time SO now im posting the unfinished one you see here and will update soon.

So today I'm going to discuss in the first section on the Demon species as seen in the Holy Land universe, but first, if you're asking why i chose demons instead of angels to start with. It's cuz the demons are WAY more fun. Anywho, the demons come from the hell realm, this is set in somewhat the same way as shown in Dante's inferno, but with a slightly more modern feel to it. Demons themselves look rather human, with a slight red tint to their skin, which will be elaborated on later, they also have horns of various sizes, and their irises are a shade of red or yellow. Going back to the levels of hell and the demons from them, each level still tortures the spirits sent there, but now they more than anything just use them as slave labor. This is more prominent in the lower of the nine levels. Demons themselves are also slightly different based off what level they are from, which also coordinates to their social class, the lower levels of hell coordinating to a higher class. You can tell their class based off of flame color, by flame color i mean what their flames they can produce are colored. These colors are in the following order, lowest class first. No flame, Red, Orange, Yellow Green, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Purple, Black. The lower levels also often are slightly taller, and their skin is less human-resembling, seeming to be more red. The final difference is that their horns are larger based off social class that they are descended from. Though on the earth colonies this caste system is far less prominent. Demon abilities vary but all include a sort of pyrokenesis, this is paired with a very prominent aspect of life and the reason demons don't take up human arms, is the ability to summon a weapon. this is done by manifesting magic and making a weapon that was assigned at birth. The skill itself needs to be taught, but it eliminates the need to create arms for armies, reducing their cost. Thing is these are only weapons that are melee, though on occasion this can be a bow and arrow, which is highly sought after. Demon society is something of a communistic one, borderline on being an anarchy style because of all the freedoms that demons are given. Their ruler is of course, Satan himself. I'll eventually update this or something of the sort, but to be honest i just typed this up in twenty minutes on my phone. Everything here can be subject to change on some degree. Heya! I know no one sees this yet, and likelihood is no one will ever care about tge ramblings of a random highschooler with an idea. BUT Here i am, and if you are reading this then you have my sincere thanks. ANYWAYS Back to the topic at hand. What I'm going to be doing with the world i have created and who will be in it. I'm gonna be pretty vague about this because at the moment i haven't gotten much down yet. Thats cuz writing something airtight is pretty hard. My goal is for everything to have an answer, but for you to start with little to nothing. So these things will contain spoilers. That includes the backstory that i posted one or two days ago when i started this blog as a Creative Writing 3 Honors Project. Course i had it started earlier but im getting away from the topic. The story will start in what used to be Los Angeles, but is now El Cielos. I don't know Spanish so if i did that wrong someone tell me. Ok so it will track the journey of 5 ( maybe 6 ) characters journeying from Cielos to one of a few choices places such as maybe Havana, Cuba. My original plan was DC or Manhattan maybe, but now that i think about it, i could involve South America in this as well for a little fun. Their goal is originally to escape the "quarantined" area, as in the area surrounded by the turrets keeping everyone at bay. This is due to a rumor one character knows about a single broken turret leaving a half mile area safe to go through by boat. This goal will likely change as they run for the safe crossing before their enemies (who i won't state yet) get them. Speaking of characters ill give you some little titles for them before i give formal introductions later in a post each for themselves. Theres the Princess, the Fugitive, the Psychopath, the Runaway, and the Precious Smol. I might add a child charcter tho to add that outside innocent perspective.
