duke thomas spends 10+ years getting comics and growth and plot and hes "too new" and people "dont know him well enough". superboy prime gets five minutes of character development and hes suddenly a fan favorite getting shipped with every character under the sun. i hate this fandom.

Post-Crisis DC has something special because when characters meet they all have unique dynamics even if they already know each other while in current DC everyone knows each other and everyone is blandly friends.

(shouting over loud music to the girl next to me at a crowded bar) hey so like the thing with timcassie is that they're broken in too similar of a shape. they aren't a pair so they don't fit together without effort. too much pressure and they splinter apart, too little and they fail to interlock. but neither are they so different that they wouldn't mesh at all. where are you going? its about the struggle of finding balance. the frustration of being close enough to sense the comfort of closeness. and wanting to be so perfect that they match up painlessly when pressed close, but being just so out of position that their edges catch and snag on each others wounds whenever they try. they encourage but also exacerbate. sit back down im not finished. they mean well but also remind each other of the same things, all the time, if they don't give each other space. but in that space, loneliness creeps in and they miss the reassurance of being understood because they can relate to each other's pain in a way no one else ever has. and they wonder if maybe the pain of trying and failing is worth it just to find that one spot where they can stand shoulder to shoulder. by the way are you into women

but in a very real sense if anyone is using those wayne courtside tickets it’s probably tim. they’re not going to the same game though lest they get into some tom and jerry terrorism shit to each other and distract the gotham equivalent of jalen brunson and doom the knights to yet another dogshit season, ruining the reputation of the waynes forever. also jason is legally dead so that would just raise other questions.
