I find it super interesting that we see "steve rogers will return", and not "captain america will return"

as much as the mcu has been in a bit of a state the past few years, they are definitely intentional with most things that they do, and I say this as a diehard fan and critic

sam wilson is captain america, but given the whole multiverse saga (see what I did there), they could have easily worded it as "captain america will return"

I think that steve rogers will definitely have a big role in endgame, but it's not going to be the role we're used to seeing him in - I have this theory specifically because of the strange wording

now we do see his suit briefly, but is he putting it back on, or just reminiscing? I want to lean towards reminiscing because he's obviously a dad now, perhaps he wouldn't be fighting battles anymore, but he could also fight to protect his new family, so a lot has been left up to interpretation it seems
