âFamily traditions run fatalâ -Impetigore Review
Secrets are a mofo right? Especially family ones. Who knows what dark and grizzly deceit is lurking behind the doors of your most quiet neighbors? In the latest film from Jono Ankwar we see an ancient evil unwrapped behind a tale of betrayal and mistrust. All set in the eerily spectacular backdrop of a rainforest. -Impetigore is a mystic encounter filled with terrifying imagery and lore.Â
The relationship between Maya and her friend is enticing from the start. The two have a hilarious bond even though they may not be living an ideal life. After a dreadful evening the two ladies venture out to the residence that she now owns. Only to find her and her friends involved in a town covered in disease and secrets.Â
Impetigore is extra creepy from start to finish. I wouldn't expect anything less from Jono as he has the unique ability to raise the tension meter from scene to scene. Expectations were high on the list for me as I received this title and I couldnât be happier with the result. A pure contrast from the first film of his I encountered so itâs nice to see his supernatural range. If you can deal with the subtitles this is a great late night treat for all supernatural fans.Â
