It’s been 3 years since Lance Reddick died

RIP to a legend, and thank you Commander

Also, kinda off topic but I swear this is related: I have a huge fear of needles. Knowing that I have a vaccine appointment literally causes me to panic for like a week, even though I know it’s not anywhere near as bad as I think it will be. When I’m actually there, it usually takes like 45+ minutes to actually get the thing before I’m embarrassed enough to just go through with it out of like, shame or something.

Nothing really seems to get me to calm down tbh. I’ve tried breathing. I’ve tried looking away. I’ve tried holding onto my parents or a stuffed animal. Nothing has worked. I’ve even tried hypnotherapy, which didn’t really help either (not the hypnotherapist’s fault, he actually did a pretty good job at minimizing the anxiety I felt before the appointment. It just didn’t help in the moment.)

The only thing that has helped however is hearing Lance as Zavala saying “be brave, Guardian” in my head. Unironically this has saved/stopped me multiple times from sitting there and having a panic attack. The last few times I’ve used this it only took like 20 minutes. (Still more than it probably should take, but it’s SOMETHING.)
