For whatever reason, weddings bring out the judginess in people and doubly so with Taylor because people think they know her better than herself lol
Itās weird because that hasnāt been my experience, but apparently this is what happens with celebrity weddings lol.
Anyway like I said, other than making a few lighthearted jokes at the news cycle, itās not really an interesting topic to me that I care to discuss in this way. Itās not The Sims! This is Taylorās real life! Sheās gonna live her life and have the wedding of her dreams and if weāre lucky maybe sheāll share some photos of it and weāll all get to wish her well through our phones because we know how meaningful this is to her because weāve listened to her heartbreak and triumph over the years in her music.
People forget that Taylor and Travis will have a ton of middle class people attend their wedding, and these folks might be more inclined to have a quick long weekend to NYC instead of a full week in Europe. Like ya it would be cool if she got married on Lake Como, but theyāre thinking about the regular people that they invited that are traveling form mid size American cities (whereas there are direct flights from London to Palermo in Duaās case). Also, New York is a special place for them.
Iām not directing this at you anon, but I just donāt understand thinking this deeply about it?
When it started becoming clear they were having a huge wedding, I figured it was most likely going to be in or near a major city like NY (or LA) just because of the logistics of accommodations and flights and whatnot for that many people. So like, I assume planning was less about what was feasible for their normie family and friends and more what place could handle hundreds of people descending upon it for a weekend and Taylorās very specific security needs. (I think security for her and their guests is probably the primary consideration of any major event.)
And given that paps managed to get pictures of her and Travis literally inside their rental house in Como, I think any kind of large estate somewhere would probably never have been that feasible. Too many people involved in too many logistics and needing to find room for that many people, idk.
But like I said, this is the most Iāve put thought into it and I just donāt think thereās any point in thinking hard about it. Four weeks from now weāll probably know a lot more, possibly from the horseās mouth! Until then, Iām just happy for Taylor and Travis š¤·š»āāļø
