To be FEARED is to be loved   ──   Many times, throughout the incessant passing of the years, had she repeated this same sentence within the confines of her mind, over & over again until it became a self-sanctified prayer ( a desperate plea that would ultimately fall ‘pon deafened ears, for there are no deities out there willing to tend to the needs of such monstrous beasts ) . This is why, despite her short visits to the nearby human cities & towns, Ahri had never indulged in the company of other sentient beings for too long: although she longed for something that she had yet to fully comprehend ( what are FEELINGS to a monster ? ) , she knew that something had been missing   /   It was the empty void within her ever-tight ribcage, the frigid shiver creeping down her spine at night, the agonizing absence of warmth. 

And this emptiness had easily become all-devouring, stripping little pieces of humanity away from her and leading her closer & closer to the ominous shadows that would dance underneath the eerie luminescence of the moonlight ; a waltz of monsters, a ceremony for those who had lost their soul and broken their own heart in cannibalistic rituals. Who would have thought that a change would have come from the unexpected presence of an intruder within the forest ? 

Beastly urges were suddenly overtaken & replaced by puerile desires   /   Desires to know more about the world out there, about the strange little things that he would hold in his hands at all times, about the feelings that she experienced without ever being able to nominate them. In exchange for everything that he was capable of giving her, she’d offer her knowledge about nature and, although it was never properly vocalized, she promised to PROTECT him ( from whom & what was yet to be decided ) . 

Cushiony tails sway to-&-from around them, visual representation of the many thoughts waltzing on the edge of her tongue before ultimately withering.   ❝  Nothing remains untouched by the flowing of time so, eventually, things will indeed change. dismal   child ,   lost   amongst   expectations  &&.  realities   unravelling   before   his   fingertips   that   were   being   written   by   another  ;   surely   that   is   what   she   thought   of   him.   it   was  pretty   pathetic ,   atleast ,  he   thought  it  so.

    ❝   but ,   that's   just  a   dream.    people   don't   just   get   whisked  away  from   their   problems   like   in    some   story.  ❞   embittered   amusement   swathes   that   tone,   yielding   hands   extend   in   offering   the   console ,   it's   carmine  casing   glittering   in   the   trickling   shafts   of   afternoon   sun.
