So the City of Monsters finale is coming sooner than we think, and I totally think that the Liv impostor is a twin. While the clone theory is just as logic, I believe the twin theory more because:

1) The series does “real science”. While cloning does exist IRL, no cloning of humans have been done in history so far (at least, from what we know, cuz it’s illegal and stuff). Although the series do happen in the future and “Liv” thinks she’s above laws, it’d just be more logical and less complicated for kids to understand.

2) “Liv” looks extremely distressed and determinate to save Real Liv. She shows genuine emotions to her, and her alone, and it says a lot considering how much of a ruthless sociopath she actually is. It’d totally make more sense if she cares so much about her sister she’s known for her whole life rather than her original replica she hasn’t known for too long before Real Liv got in the pod.

3) The “Liv Amara is not creating the monsters” line from Baymax. If she was a clone, she’s still technically Liv Amara. A clone = 2 Livs, so the line wouldn’t have worked. “Liv” knew what she was saying to Hiro when she said “Liv Amara” was not doing the monsters… because Liv is her twin, and she has her own name which isn’t Liv.

4) “Liv” knows the Real Liv’s life through and through. She knows Real Liv was friends with Granville for a long time, and she knows enough about her so that no one makes the difference or doubts she’s not the real Liv Amara the instant Real Liv was put in the pod by “Liv” and the switch was made. If she was a clone, it would’ve taken more time to know Real Liv’s schedule and life from A to Z, and considering Real Liv’s life is on the line, there’s not much time for “Liv”.

5) Most important of all: AN INDIVIDUAL IS READY TO USE DRASTIC MEASURES IN HER SIBLING’S NAME, WHERE HAVE WE HEARD THIS BEFORE. IN OTHER WORDS, PERFECT OCCASION FOR DRAMA WITH A PARALLEL WITH HIRO?! If it’s not that, than a sad case of missed opportunity
