Discussion about an unpleasant encounter under the cut.
On my way home yesterday evening I walked past a rather unpleasant looking neo-nazi-esque guy. I actively thought "how unpleasant. I am lucky that they usually ignore me because I do not look like their preferred targets" as I walked on. When I was past him he very loudly started complaining about women looking *i did not understand the adjective he used but it was clear he thought I looked too masculine*.
I am not sure how to feel about that. It makes me uncomfortable. I don't like being read as a woman. But I can't really blame any stranger for assuming just that. And yay for my androgynous swag coming across as not very feminine. But urgh... Being verbally targeted by grumpy far right assholes worries me. Also the dysphoria spiked. I should stand up straight and confident but how am I supposed to do that with boobs?
