Fun fact: Yfa is actually one of Maxwell's long-lost sisters. In case it ever comes up in trivia.
tumblr users love reading. you literally stopped for this post just because it has words in it
this is one of my favorite bits about tumblr
the users seem to actually prefer text posts to anything else, and treat it as a chore to play a video especially with sound
among roche’s more enjoyable qualities, what stands out as truly unique is his habit of saying the most awful thing he can. exempli gratia: he sees geralt crouching beside a fresh corpse and the first thing out of his mouth is, ‘friend of yours?’
I would like to blog about The Council, which I'm still playing, a bit, but this is really the kind of story where you do not want spoilers. Hahaha. Oh man. So much happens. I don't know how to describe it. You know how in soap operas they constantly raise the stakes and drop every bombshell they can think of, like every episode has to end with "...and also I'm PREGNANT. AND I HAVE CANCER!11!" It's like that. Except no one gets pregnant or cancer. (Or DO THEY?) Instead... other things happen. But they also constantly out-do themselves.
It actually reminds me a little of "Glass Onion". Except it's 1793 and everyone (not everyone) is a Freemason. (It's not called Freemason, but it's the same concept, and the Freemasons somehow also exist in this game. I would want to know how TWO such orders can co-exist.)
Every time you think you know what's going on, another unsettling piece of information is revealed and you realize that you knew nothing previously. It's delightful. There are also a few plot holes and contradictions though which make some of the decisions you have to make difficult. But also things that initially seem like plot holes sometimes make more sense later, due to new information that would have been, uhhh, hard to guess.
Have some more screenshots though:
I will have to replay it right after I finish it, probably, to explore the alternate possibilities and see how much foreshadowing I can spot now that I know the whole story. Kinda like when I first played Deus Ex and tried to do everything with stealth and finesse, and then right after I restarted and just put all my skill points into frying people with a flamethrower.

Your least most recent emoji predicts how your summer will end
May you have the courage to disappoint people who benefit from your self-abandonment.

I read Piranesi again...
I had to compress the hell out of this gif to upload. If you want to see a nicer, bigger version you can do so here on my AO3.

won’t yap about this a lot, but I don’t like DNIs. I think they’re ridiculously childish. If you want to block me, you have every right and if my content upsets you, I genuinely encourage you to hit that block button. block me, block the tags you don’t like, whatever you need.
but it’s your job to control your experience on the internet, not mine. and I am not taking the time to check your pinned or bio before I like some post that came across my dash. who cares.
“global birth rates are declining”…… yeah and so are the reblog rates on tumblr.com too, so what now

O summer, the time when my casual looks give middle aged adventurer guy aka. my colleagues tell me I need a whip to complete my Indiana Jones fit or ask if I am on my way to a safari.
Today we can add comments like "Ohh... Did you just come back from egypt?" and "Yeah, straight out of The Mummy!" to the list.
Well, actually I just came from booking flights with my prof. Actual excavation here we come!
Again... Indiana Jones, whip and safari in one sentence. It's summer. What else am I supposed to wear? Is it the hat?
(I have not seen a single Indiana Jones film in my entire life. But oh well )
And my fellow classical archeology students keep telling me that I look like someone who would study pre- and proto-history. Whatever that means. Fascinating.
The pre- and proto historians have labeled today's outfit as "pirate".
Not a fan of extremely hot weather. But my summer outfits are a lot more fun than my winter looks.
Yesterday when I left work my boss just looked at me grabbing my hat, nodded in my direction and solemnly said "Indy", then he paused and finally wished me a nice rest of the week.
