I was just thinking, and I don’t have as much of an issue with lambdabern compared to satorika. If Bern and Lambda wanna kill each other and then make out afterwards, that’s fine. They read to me more like mean lesbians (a dynamic I enjoy) rather than just promoting harmful stereotypes about wlw as clingy, obsessive, and deranged, because they are both witches and they are meant to be unhinged. Also, as a witch Bern is just as cruel as Lambda so their relationship is more equal.
Satorika is nothing but one sided torment from Satoko to Rika over something so petty, and at the end of it Rika is still shown to cherish Satoko far more than Satoko cherishes her. That’s not an equal relationship. Not to mention the harmful stereotypes the writers have about wlw that they chose to project onto Satoko before she even starts to manifest Lambda.

there is clear hypocrisy here holy moly. dont get me wrong, i enjoy lambdabern!! but how are you going to say that lambdabern doesnt promote stereotypes abt wlw as clingy, obsessive, and deranged when there are literally lines like this

as someone who has an immense fear of being abandoned, this is like. really upsetting to read. satoko cares a lot for rika, and when rika wants to leave hinamizawa she gets scared. rika is her best friend, she doesnt want her to leave. keep in mind that satoko is also under the influence of the hinamizawa syndrome throughout the series.
i do think that the writers have a harmful idea of wlw, but you're just in denial if you say that those stereotypes aren't projected into lambdadelta and bernkastel too.
