Stage 1 - Toonimal doesn't seem all too bad yet. Maybe a little raspy?? With glassier eyes than usual. They tend to behave in a more paranoid/stressed manner, but nothing too bad.

Stage 2 - Toonimal is (clearly) a lot more roughed up. Eyes are a lot more vibrant/bright, sclera turns bloodshot. They end up with a more "sick" appearance and fluids have a green tint to them. They act a lot more sluggish, but aggressive, often tending to lash out over small things. Abilities don't function as well in this stage.

Stage 3 - Toonimal suddenly seems perfectly fine. Quite a lot more outgoing and confident than they'd usually be, actually. Physical signs of infection are reduced to their eyes, presenting to be a lot darker/predatory looking, with bright green pupils. Abilities hardly work or don't work at all around this stage.

Stage 4 - simply the mid-turning process of an infected.

Toons are stuck in stage 3 until the infection starts taking full course (stage 4), which can be caused by varying aspects. Most common cases include:

• Exposing oneself to MORE Malachor will, obviously, trigger an infected Toonimal.

• Outer injuries, that trigger the Malachor as it tries healing the tissue, worsening the process due to overdose of it.

• Emotional distress or intense reactions. Any feeling that's even slightly overbearing for the Toonimal can trigger them.

Certain triggers may also add to an Infected's appearance and abilities, but that's not a very common case.
