Just as Hiccup fought for Berk, Astrid fought beside him; Just as Harry saved Wizarding London, Hermione saves Harry-they shared something intense,

hermione deliberately distances herself in order to soothe ron’s insecurities and harry can feel that distance. he talks about it the whole time. how the two of them seem to be truly together now and how it’s strange. he’s got little sentences here and there where he notices the changes in them. the boy feels isolated from them both because romione are isolating themselves in a way. ron’s worried about his family, hermione’s worried ron is going to leave, and harry’s watching the two of them talk about him without either of them saying anything to his face about it. and yet ron is still insecure because to him it’s like hermione follows harry blindly. she just keeps assuring him that it’s all going to work out but she can’t tell him how and she can’t tell him how long they’ll be hunting horcruxes or what harry’s plan is. none of it is good enough for him and he doesn’t see how this wild goose chase is good enough for her but that’s because they aren’t on the same wavelength about harry. ron doesn’t get harmony. he just doesn’t. like if they aren’t romantically involved then how does he make sense of the way they are about each other? they confuse him and so harry simplifies it by qualifying it by calling hermione his sister though that is a lie. he has never thought of her like a sister. no where in 7  books outside of that scene has harry ever thought of hermione like a sister but how do you convince your distraught, confused, and sword wielding best friend that the girl he loves is more to you without making it seem romantic? you refer to her as your sister and hope for the best.
