Question for alters that "began" as ocs and were roleplayed in a variety of settings/different versions/etc before splitting or realizing that they are a present consciousness.
What do you choose to identify as (introject, spiritual identity in a shared body, part/alter of a system, etc.)? How do you feel about each "life" that you've had? Does one feel more "real" to you or are they all a part of your identity? Do you feel homesick for experiences or people or settings outside of reality and how do you cope with this?

I am an introject and an alter! For most of us fictives, honestly theres certain energies or plot points that are most important rather than the entire life nessicarily, (a lot of our fictives of canon characters rp as themselves a lot so they have sort of a similar experience though the order is reversed). So kind of... for me all my lives are canon and not canon. It is what i would do in that situation and shows important parts of my personality, but i dont super feel any of it lile Happened TM. But all of it is important! I'm not really homesick for anything, the other oc i was paired with most importantly is also in my system, and I was conceived as a stand alone oc with no official canon so im used to just being in random situations and this one is just fine with me!

We are planning to take a day off from being Alastor tomorrow (the fifth) and from talking to people very much. We appreciate people saying hi to us but we may not answer. We thank you for your patience and understanding. We wanted to show you the conversation we had about it so you understand where we are coming from.
We all enjoy all of your company and I do not blame any friends for my burn out it is Abhay for thinking we are not allowed to take a break or everyone will be upset lol. We may take more frequent breaks from now on as I am Enforcing it but that means we will have more energy to talk (or rather Alastor will) on the days that are good for that. We may even end up as Alastor tomorrow no one really controls it and if its a good day for chatty we will but I just know I can't keep up with doing it every day anymore.
To be clear, Alastor really really really likes all of you. I Grimm have just gotten burn out from being in his fusion because I am a loner and my other fusion components Abhay and Kevin are very social making it a social fusion which is making me. Aaaa. We need to like. Draw and play games and not talky talk every day all day. Thanks again for understanding

there is a huge difference between criticizing an institution and criticizing individual behavior. i can criticize the makeup industry without criticizing the 14 year old girl who uses concealer because sheâs self-conscious about her acne; i can criticize the plastic surgery industry without vilifying the woman who decided to get a nose job after two decades of pointed comments and bullying. it is intellectually dishonest to respond to an institutional criticism as if it were a personal attack; on the flip side, it is cruel and unnecessary to leverage personal attacks in the name of institutional criticism
if i see one (1) more person respond to a perfectly reasonable beauty-industry-critical sentiment with âbut i personally enjoy eyeshadow. why are you attacking people who like eyeshadow :(â or âexactly, all women who wear makeup are miserable and brainwashedâ i am going to climb a tree and bite the top of it
