One of my favorite parts about Sinsmas, aside from everything, has to be the amount of maturity Blitzø displays in Sinsmas, or specifically in his conversation with Stolas.

This conversation really goes to show how one of Blitzø's best features is his ability to always say the right thing, when he knows the people in his life truly need it.

He did it with Moxxie and Millie:

"Look, I'm hard on you, because I know what you're capable of, Mox. You care too much about what everyone thinks except for... me, because, y'know, my opinion is correct, but just... keep doing a good job. 'Kay? You shoot 'n kill good, you escape things easy... you can be strategic and cold-blooded when you need to, aaaand don't expect any more compliments; I'm maxed out."

"Millie, I have spent too much of my time, energy, and holes into setting this up for us to entertain your bullshit. I brought you into this company for a reason, okay? You're tougher, smarter, and frankly more capable than anyone I've ever met in any ring..."

"Mind if I steal?" "Today was a lot wasn't it?"

Blitzø starts the conversation with an ice-breaker to lighten the mood because he can tell Stolas is on edge right now.

"I-I- I know you can't see your kid. And I know you did so fucking much just to save my life-"

There are three things I want to point out:

Blitzø makes it very clear that he knows what Stolas just lost, he knows he can't see his daughter.

Blitzø also states that he understands the huge sacrifice Stolas had to make in order to save his life.

Blitzø knows that what happened is a serious situation, he knows how much Stolas loves his daughter, and he doesn't downplay that loss.

"It's okay. Saving you was the right thing to do. And you have risked your life for mine in return. You don't need to feel any guilt for my situation, it was my choice. It was all my choice. I caused all of this."

"She'll understand eventually. You just gotta give her time."

Stolas is mourning the loss of his daughter, and is reflecting on the times he's failed her as her father. And I love how Blitzø states that the simple fact that what Octavia needs right now is time to process things, the same way Stolas needs time to process things as well. And I love how Blitzø says that, "...she'll understand eventually," because it's true. Octavia will understand, eventually.

I think one important thing to note is the fact that Blitzø also doesn't undermine Stolas' statement: "It was my choice. It was all my choice."

Because it's true, Stolas did make a choice...

Stolas chose to give Blitzø the book, thus starting their transactional arrangement.

Stolas chose to give up his own life to save Blitzø from execution.

Stolas chose love, and that is not a bad thing.

"Blitzø, she's gone. For one hundred years, she's gone. And after all that time, she'll never forgive me. I'll be a stranger to her."

"Y'know, my twin sister... She hates me too. For something that I did. And I miss her, every day. We were so fucking close, y'know, we- It's a shitty feeling. But, you just gotta keep trying."

Blitzø, right now, is willingly being vulnerable with Stolas and I think that's beautiful. He encourages Stolas to keep trying to reach out to Octavia, to not give up all hope just yet.

And I love how Blitzø decided to talk about Barbie, and not Fizz, and the reason is simple...

Blitzø can't guarantee a happy ending between Stolas and his daughter, he can't promise any of that. Blitzø states that Octavia will understand him, but he can't promise that Octavia will forgive him.

If Blitzø were to share the fact that he recently rekindled his friendship with Fizz, than that might be giving Stolas a false sense of hope.

And Stolas, right now, doesn't need a success story, he doesn't need, "Hey, I was able to fix my relationship, so you can too". What Stolas needs right now is reassurance that he's not alone, that there is someone out there that understands his pain.

"Sounds likes, uh... they want me back in there..."

"Go enjoy your Sinsmas, Blitzø. I'm fine, you don't have to stay here with me... What are you doing?"

"Well, I can't fucking dance with you without- come here, getting inventive."

I love the Full Moon parallel of Blitzø choosing to stay with Stolas instead of going back to the party. Blitzø knows Stolas is not fine at all.

He was a lonely kid with no friends and was raised entirely by the staff, who seemed polite but disinterested, and barely ever saw his parent(s?). So of course when he has his own kid (while still a teenager himself), he doesn't want her to go through the same thing, so the obvious solution is that he can be her best friend! It's not like schools and playdates seem to be a thing among goetia, so anything Via wants to do, Stolas will do it with her (I'm sure it's been commented on plenty but I'm obsessed with the pair of skateboards in her bedroom).

But then fast forward and oops you've got a parent and child who are basically each other's only friends and do NOT handle it well when that gets interrupted. Stolas is bad at dividing his affection in a way that isn't all or nothing, and Via has probably never in her life not been his only priority. Of course it feels like a huge betrayal, on top of finding out that the happy home life you thought you had wasn't real.

Given that Fizz seems to be the one to wake Ozzie up, it's safe to say that Ozzie is not a morning person, so I wanted to draw him just being so visibly tired and messy after getting an extra early wake-up call. ;) XD <3<3<3

Charlie's mom LITERALLY girlpower'ed so hard her entire existence Heaven decided she was an ultimate threat. It's stated all of her protests were strictly peaceful but she served so much cunt it made them nervous.

There's a demon Overlord implied to be like 400+ years old who terrifies sinners so much they set themselves on fire in his presence but his ONLY roles in the show thus far are A.) that guy the hot weapon's dealer really likes and B.) that old relic that lets the other Overlords mock him constantly.

The embodiment of lust supports cheating but not assault because he views sex as a dramatic art to be earned with respect and trust. I personally think that's based.

Mammon is an Australian clown that either can't say the word cunt audibly or is intentionally censoring himself. It should be noted the only other Australian character in-universe uses it every third word, so it's not a matter of the writers avoiding the word. Personally I think it'd be really funny if the embodiment of greed was trying to seem more kid-friendly but the only swear he found worthy of censorship was that one.

There's a conglomeration of media-related demons who work together and the tv demon keeps trying really hard not to sound like he's not gonna double cross the other two, but the other two know him really well so they know his bullshit and call him on it

The imp voiced by Zim is from a mafia family

Occasionally when the crews are done with a prop in-episode they'll just have it break physics to do something funny. Once a guy in a car chase just slammed sideways into a gas tanker for no reason bc they wanted to end the short.

One of the longest running background characters is a guy named Wally Wackford who talks like a carnival barker. He is so unconnected to the plot they can't find any way to insert him for longer than a few seconds but he's everywhere.

New people to the show are always surprised to learn that white spots on imps are how scars show up. Yeah the piebald thing is NOT a cutesy pattern.

The circus somehow matters more than the actual royal line and being a successful clown is treated like being a massive celebrity, complete with sex toys and jars in-universe being sold of their visage. Yes I mean THAT kind of jar.

You can literally own someone's soul in-universe and powerful beings own a lot of them but MOST of the time it's treated more like being in a really shitty job environment instead of actual slavery. As you can imagine this is where a solid chunk of the discourse comes from amongst other stuff.

Viviene Madrano had a gag of herself getting run over and murdered by accident. She of course died in the family guy death pose.

There's dedicated wikis to background characters because the Spindlehorse animation team refuses to use blank npc background characters so every character is decked out in at least one way or another.

The animation is gorgeous. This isn't me praising bullshit I mean they animate on 1s and 2s and do giant circle shots at least once a season, often multiple. The reason the shows take so fucking long is they spend months on five seconds. You can even argue it's over animated in some sections.

They LOVE cramming worldbuilding in the backgrounds of scenes. Like you miss out on half the show if you aren't pausing every five seconds sometimes. Whether that's /pos or /neg depends on who you're asking.

Blitz, the mc of helluva boss, has so many in-universe haters from his shitty treatment of others they have a once-a-year "fuck Blitzo" party with cake and party favors.

The seven deadly sins all control various aspects of hell and you can usually tell who has what depending on the color schemes/demons staffing the place (also they all have specific sigils), but for some reason Sloth sinners usually have lit candles above their heads instead of a cohesive demon type. They also run the medical circuit.

The running gag of bad spelling is because Blitzo is barely literate and heavily dyslexic. Also it's very likely imps don't get schooling in general.

But I also very strongly believe that the deal is the only reason their relationship actually lasted as long as it did and why it has a chance to properly develop now. I always see fixit ideas where they had better communication from the start, and I absolutely get the appeal, but Blitz would have 100% pulled the exact same shit he did with Verosika the second it got too real for him (would absolutely read that AU).

But the deal gave Blitz a veneer of emotional protection so he never had to think about it like that, and never consciously realised that he'd let his guard down and caught actual feelings until it was too late.

So, I’m no artist, but that frame of Stolas from the Season 3 trailer had me in a chokehold so I had to 🥰
