ELOÏ. - NOSTALGÏA. (demo)

The end of October. It was at the beginning of the second golf of the rise of that notorious relentless - though, ridiculously minuscule - creature 🦠. I remember to be so, so careful to not be caught by her, she would never. It was a minefield. She got me, she really got me.. She invaded my body, while she stole lot’s of good, precious oxygen, and she erased months of my precious time. She crossed many borders, but not those of my sacred cave: my mind. My mindfield. It was (and always will be) my safe place. In there, I found myself a world filled with lucid dreamscapes, so colorful, in what would have been a lonely hospital bed otherwise. My headspace is now filled with a massive amount of mellow inspiration, from which I can snack for longer than the time I’ve lost the past months.

• So, my eyes are looking forward to my very own springtime. It feels like my rebirth is in the air. I’m almost there to give some time, space & energy to those new creative seeds to sprout. My spirit is already there, I have all the confidence my body will be healed when the time is ripe ✨ • To celebrate, I thought it was time to finally share another video with/for every ear and eye that is open. To balance out the prospective expectations a little bit, the theme of this ELOÏ. song is about retrospection to some bygone times. I baptized it with the name NOSTALGÏA. .

• This piece of tinkered 👁eyework was made somewhere at the end of summer last year, showing some ELOÏ. in light and dark. The👂earwork is from back in 2019. It is the finished composition of a song I’ve been working on sporadically since 2017 (there is a small acoustic version of it at my IG feed too, dated that same year). 🖌😶• 'The Endless Space Outside The Box’• >>> • In the space outside the box, beyond limits, I dissolve my endlessly roaming free mind. It is where nothing is constructed (yet), but the endless potentiality to do so is there for the taking. So I listen, I open up to it, I explore the emptiness it is and.. I get lost in its fullness. How can I go back? • As I am often somehow drifting off in the 'world of endlessness', I tend to dig too deep in the analogy and interweaving of ‘All’. It is a side effect of my tendency to over-metaphorize.. every-Thing. As if there is a world I can dive into where everything is nothing, nothing is everything, nothing is nothing, and everything is everything. • I never really saw the dangers of being the over-inspired, easily spirited person I tend to be.. Until I found out I often feel like a slave of the constant #flow of inspiration that keeps me awake and restless - already exhausted. A greedy slave to the addiction I have to my escapism as a form of resistance to the conforming structures of our human culture. Despite the fact that it is a place where I can truly be my highly sensitive self, and make my subconsciousness conscious by giving form to it, it occurs on the borders of losing my sense of touch with reality, reason and my Self. • There can exist safe space, a haven in between the land of the limited world (the box) and the infinite world, an unknown, dusk deep #ocean where creativity can shape into any form (the #space outside the box).. If you know how to steer the floodgates, understanding the mind’s tides. • For many years I’ve been writing in silence about the conflicts in/of my ‘Oceanic’ mind. And since I’ve became a student of clinical psychodynamic music therapy two years ago, my hypothetical writings about my mind’s over-flood found common grounds with new science &concepts I could wrap my brain around and dive deep into. • Drifting, way too often, way too far -away- out of the box, as I create, is the only way I can #breathe spacious air into the chronic dense #clouds of my headspace… • My PAREÏDOLÏA. artproject is one of the results of this. flower has been dancing for me & waving and nodding (conquering yesses and noes) to me from behind my smartphone screen for quite some time now. It's a wink to lot’s of memories of unburdened wandering during my little solo-trip in Lisbon a few years ago. Whenever I was passing by one of those trees, the mesmerizing scent of their flowers seduced me to pause my adventures somewhere up or down one or another hill while following the twisting alleys in the suburbs of the city. The sent of freedom. Ideal to dream about from behind the walls... On the other hand this piece of COLLÏSÏON., a song I’m working on, has been longing for a

metaphorical

translation. So I created some

imagery

for it and I included this - to me - symbolic flower in it, among other collected footage that coincidentally helped to give image to my words.”

✨🌊🌿ELOÏ. has been knocking on my door lately, while time hasn’t been on my side. I couldn’t ignore her anymore, so I gave her just an hour to do her thing and let her set her creative pulse on the beat of my heart. This metaphorically loaded visual for/with this demo of DÏVAGATÏON. (2018) is the result. The timing is perfect, as I’m celebrating - yet again - for the sun on my path and the good pitch between my drive and body.
