categorize me, i defy every label

I mentioned this to a friend yesterday and she was like "Oh yeah because you know there will be good episodes again so it doesn't bother you!" but no. The bad episodes are fun on their own for me. I don't always want a slick streaming series with 8 episodes where each one is a work of tightly written cinematic excellence. I can enjoy that, too, but sometimes I want an episode with the dumbest premise known to man. Not all dumb, not all the time, not badly made or created as a joke, but just...silly but heartfelt.

So, it looks like Stabler gets T-boned by a semi while undercover.

Here's my theory:

I'm thinking this could be at the end of the first episode and goes over into episode two.

He ,obviously, gets injured. Bell has to pull him out due to his injuries. During said time, Elliot's family is alerted, which includes Bernie, Randell, and his children. Maybe one of his children (I'm hoping Eli just for the full circle plot point) calls Olivia and tells her what happens. She rushes to the hospital to make sure he's okay, because let's face it, she is still his partner.

She comes over and helps Stabler with his recovery. They talk and Olivia finally realizes that she doesn't want to live without him, and then they make out.

And while writing this, I had an epiphany.

The episode is called "Dante's Inferno", which involves the main character going through hell to return to the love of his life. IF THAT'S NOT A FUCKING METAPHOR FOR BENSLER, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.
