Seasoning Blends
A lot of spells call for singular herbs like basil or cinnamon, but seasoning blends often get overlooked! Especially because these blends tend to be easier and more affordable in the kitchen. Let’s break a few down.
Pumpkin Spice- (Allspice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg.) MONEY MONEY MONEY and also luck.
Five Spice Powder- (Cinnamon, cloves, fennel, star anise, pepper.) Protection, banishing/exorcism, probably especially so for things related to psychic powers and abilities.
Italian Seasoning- (Thyme, oregano, garlic, basil, marjoram, rosemary, savory, sage) Cleansing, purifying, and consecrating spaces, protection. Combined, this probably makes it great for warding.
Creole Seasoning- (Paprika, garlic, onion, pepper, cayenne, thyme, oregano.) Hella banishing power, with a kick. May also help start patching up any spiritual wounds, afterwards. But mostly banishing.
Tajin- (Chili peppers, salt, lime) Cleansing! Burn out/erode all that gunk.
Old Bay- (Mustard, paprika, celery salt, bay leaf, black pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, mace, cloves, allspice, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger.) Can be used as a general enhancer to the power, strength, or success of a spell. Banishing.
Flower Magick
Geranium- heals domestic conflict and trouble in the workplace, for first or new love, money
Hyacinth- self esteem, rebuilding trust after betrayal, domestic happiness, increasing radiance, attracting beauty
Jasmine- powerful love, sacred sex, optimism
Lavender- love, self-love, fertility, happiness, health, guards against cruelty and spite, all healing, anti stress and addiction
Marigold- positive energy, protects against the night and domestic matters, resolution of justice and legal matters, love and commitment
Rose- Love and reconciliation, self esteem; healing the young, old and abused; attracting money, fertility, (Pink=New love, Red=commitment, Yellow=Love in later years, White=Secret love)
Orchid- Love, Fertility
Daisies- Lust, Luck, Protection
Dandelion- Divination, wishes, calling spirits

✪How I dry my herbs and such✪
My mom actually taught me how to dry herbs, and it’s a bit different from what I’ve seen around.
What you’ll need:
Plants/herbs
String/yarn/twine
Maybe thumb tacks
And if you’re gonna be storing it:
Air tight container
Silica gel packages (optional, but recommended)
✪To start off, take your plants and rinse them off. It’s not as big of a deal if your stuff is home grown, but if what your drying has pesticides or anything else undesirable on it you don’t wanna dry that in. Also, if your gonna be using them for cooking or anything going into your body, be safe and wash ‘em off.
✪You wanna take your yarn and herbs, and tie them into bunches. And make sure they’re upside down too, that helps. You wanna make sure that you don’t over crowd them, you want air getting to all the leaves.
✪Next, take your yarn and do one of two things, either tie it to the pulls on your friendly local ceiling fan, or just thumb tack it to the ceiling. I usually do the ceiling fan, because A, I don’t care for ladders, and B the ceiling fan helps circulate the air around the plant, not only making the whole thing go faster but making sure nothing gets moldy.
✪After that, wait. Dried plants usually either become brittle or leathery, or both.
✪If your plant has a stalk that you’ll be keeping, give it an extra day after you think it’s dry just to be safe. Once your plants are fully dry, it time to store them. Rather simply, stick ‘em in a jar. I like using old bottles from thrift stores and random stores, but mason jars, old clean pill bottles, Ziploc bags or containers, and glass bottles of any kind work wonderfully. I put silica gel packages (harvested from vitamin bottles) in with them so when it gets humid my plants won’t suffer.
Hopefully this helps, happy drying lovelies
Witchcraft for the Chronically Fatigued
Fatigue looks at things such as tiredness, drowsiness, exhaustion, weakness, lethargy and memory issues and says “I can do all that and more!”. It leaves you feeling utterly trapped in your own body; unable to move, or even think at times. It fluctuates, but is always looming.
While this post is open for all, it is written for those who truly relate to this all-consuming feeling (due to ME/CFS, other chronic illnesses, mental illness, or undiagnosed causes). Not all of these may work for you, but hopefully they inspire something that will. For general low energy witchcraft, check out my Bedridden Witch Series!
As always: witchcraft is to be used in addition to proper medical care, treatment and medication; not as a sole alternative.
To draw energy:
If you cannot produce your own, magically created will be just fine!
Crystals.
I tend to use clear quartz for an energy boost, but trust your intuition; if something calls to you, it’s for a reason.
Keep it near your bedside table, under your pillow, hold it in your hand or place it on your body where you feel the fatigue most strongly centered.
When on the go, carry it in your pocket or wear as jewelry. If it is larger, carry in a bag and hold it when you need it.
Charge using a charging board or the elements.
Crystals for fatigue
Waters.
Physically touching water brings me energy. I keep jars of snow, rain, storm, river, stream (etc, etc.) water and will dip my fingers in it and mark that parts of my body where the fatigue feels strongest. Be aware of pollutants and do not ingest!
The same method can be done with tap water (or water charged under the sun or moon)
Drink sun water or sun tea (start with drinking safe water and let it absorb the energies of the sun).
Some people find moon water to be energizing (same process as above, just with the moon).
See also: Bedridden witch: Bath edition.
Other elements.
Note what is energizing to you and what is draining to you. Consider: the sun, moon (and it’s phases), weather (rain, overcast, snow, storm, wind), cold vs. hot, the earth, fire, air, etc.
Once you find which elements are energizing to you, find ways to incorporate them into your life. Examples: jars of different waters or soils, rocks collected from places, candles, and more.
I usually draw energy up from the earth by placing my palms flat towards the earth by the sides of my body. So if I was lying down, my arms would be at my sides with my palms facing down.
Expose yourself or protect yourself. I’ll use my personal experiences as an example here… Rain often energizes me. When it rains, I’ll open my windows, and if I’m able I’ll step outside or collect some water. On the flipside, full moons often drain me. I’ll close my windows and curtains, hang an extra blanket over my bedroom window, use water to paint protective sigils on the window and increase my wards.

Practicing the craft with energy limitations:
Tips and tricks:
I highly recommend preparing things when your energy allows, so it’s always ready to go when you need it (and isn’t dependent on current energy levels).
Cleansing: Let other things do your work for you. Open your windows/get fresh air, steam or smoke, sound, etc. Bedridden energy cleansing.
Divination: Use apps when physical movement is hard. One card spreads, shorten your pendulum so you don’t need to lift your arm, divine using the elements, etc. Bedridden divination.
Spells: Make your own spell kits. Spell jars and sachets are also an excellent way to already have the spell prepared, set it up so you can simply shake it to re/activate the spell.
Warding: Create physical ties for your wards that aren’t reliant on consistent upkeep (as a failsafe), and reinforce your other ward layers when you have the energy. I create far more layers than I need so when I am unable to reinforce them, they still protect me.
Worship: Compile prayers and devotions somewhere you can easily find and read them, have a wall altar for easy maintenance, keep offerings simple (a glass of water, for example). Bedridden worship.

Fire Productivity Spell
A simple spell to light a fire under your ass when you have a lot of things to do in a short amount of time, and need something extra to kick you into gear! Hope it helps you.
What You Need
Yellow or Orange Candle
Cayenne Pepper
Ginger
A small dish to hold the candle
Cinnamon (optional bonus)
Set up your candle in the dish. Surround it with the Cayenne and Ginger, sprinkling some onto the candle if you can. (If you have any other fire-related things, feel free to put them around the candle as well.) This will be the fire under your ass, giving you an extra boost of motivation, productivity, and focus for as long as it burns! Light the candle and begin your work.
Binding Spell--Emotional Wellness
Supplies
Fireproof dish
Clear Quartz
Rhodonite crystal
Pink Salt
Lavender buds and essential oil
Tea light (can be infused with lavender)
Pink thread
Directions
Place the rhodonite crystal in the dish and cover with the pink salt
Pile lavender buds in the middle of the salt and burn to ash. Mix the ash into the salt clockwise, breathing in the aroma.
Place tea light in the middle of the dish and form a grid.
Recite:
“From the salt, I call upon the earth/From the moon, I call upon the water/From this candle, I call upon the fire/From the smoke, I call upon the air.”
Light the candle
Recite:
With the elements, I bind to myself: _______”
As you tie each knot, name an emotional change you want to make in yourself
Place the string around the candle in the salt and mediate on your intent.
When finished tie the string around your wrist or ankle and dispose of the salt as you see fit.
Considerations
Time your work with the phases of the moons. Because this is binding magic, aim for a waxing or full moon.
Consider using a sigil and burn it over everything after you finish your recitations and before you extinguish the candle.
To Banish and Bind - Curse Jar for Abusers
✨DISCLAIMER - cursing and dark magic is always a controversial topic. If you do not like to practise or read about such things then feel free to ignore this post altogether HOWEVER - I ask that whatever your personal opinion on the matter, you respect the right of each individual to ply their craft according to their OWN morals and not yours ✨
✨This Spell Jar has a threefold purpose - to Bind, to Banish and, if triggered, to Curse✨The spell is designed to lay a powerful compulsion on the target, making them wary and fearful of approaching you✨If they attempt to do so regardless, the Curse will activate and rebound their ill intentions back onto them, sowing bitterness and misfortune through their life✨
THIS IS NOT A HEX, IT IS A CURSE - such spells are designed to be permenant and difficult to break - think very carefully about laying curses on others and decide if the wrongs they have done you truly warrant such a response from you
Although this is a curse, it is generally intended to give those who have been abused and feel afraid or vulnerable an means of defending themselves and exacting a level of justice against their abusers
Ingredients & Tools
A small glass jar with a cork
A taglock (hair, blood, name on paper, object belonging to the target etc)
Rock salt
Chilli
Lemon juice
Onion
Garlic
Black ink
Pen
A red candle
Black cord/yarn
Any crystals or equipment you require to ward and protect yourself (VERY important)
Preparation
✨Cleanse my work area and create a circular shield to protect yourself and your home whilst you work (you may choose to ward yourself)
✨To bolster an energetic shield, mark out a physical circle using yarn (black for protection and banishment) and seal it with a crystal if you have one (you may also choose to use protective sigils for an additional boost)
✨Light the red candle and wrote the name of the abuser on a small slip of paper, wrapping it around a small object of theirs to create your taglock (ignore this if you are using a different kind of taglock - just the name on the paper will work if you have none of their possessions)
✨Fill the jar in this order, focusing on your intention
Rock salt - for protection
Garlic - for banishment
Chilli - for banishment and suffering
Onion - for banishment and sorrow
✨Coat the taglock in wax from the red candle and add it to the jar - mix it all by shaking the jar
✨ Add the lemon juice (for bitterness and suffering) and a drop of the black ink (to bring darkness to their life) and mix again
✨Cork the jar and seal it with the red wax, then bind it with the black cord and seal with more wax
✨It is up to you what you now do with the jar -hide it, bury it or throw it away - but it is advisable to make sure it won’t be found or broken as this could have unexpected and likely unpleasant results✨
Important!
✨Once you have completed your jar it is ESSENTIAL that you cleanse both yourself and your space to remove the residue left by powerful dark magic✨ Use sage, remove or sigils and cleanse your energy, but it is advisable to perform a more thorough and powerful cleansing than you might for a gentler and more positive spell✨

🏮 THE "NEVER AGAIN" BANISHING HEX 🏮
A spell in two parts: a banishment to protect yourself from someone who has hurt you in the past, and a hex to be triggered should they try to breach the boundaries you set up. Created because I have reason to believe that an abuser from my youth has moved to my current city of residence.
THE SET UP
🏮 Perform during the waning phase of the lunar cycle at sunset. A Saturday is preferable.
🏮 You will need: an incense stick (dragon’s blood if possible), salt, black pepper, garlic, thyme, some twine/string/yarn, iron nails, paper and pen, a small offering, water that is preferably from a running source such as a river, bay leaves, nettles.
🏮 You’ll also need a poppet or representation of the wrongdoer you are binding. It can be as simple as a paper cutout with their name on it, or as complex and personal as you’d like.
🏮 As always, adjust and experiment to suit to your own craft, path and situation.
THE SPELL
🏮 Cleanse. Wash your hands thoroughly. Light the incense. Imagine the smoke creating a protective barrier around yourself.
🏮 Create the poppet or representation of the person you are binding to the hex. Make sure to channel as much of them as you can into this representation, as well as the wrong they’ve done.
🏮 On a separate piece of paper, write a list of your terms. These are the conditions which they must not break, or else the hex will trigger. For example: “They will not look at me.” “They will not speak to me.” “They will not think about me.” “They will not cross me.” Always finish with the final condition: “They will never hurt me again.”
🏮 Take the twine/string and begin reading the conditions of the hex that you wrote aloud whilst tying knots into it. Tie a knot for every condition in order to seal it in as you read it aloud.
🏮 Fold up the list of conditions and tie it to the poppet with the knotted twine. Place the poppet down on a surface and sprinkle a mix of ground up salt, black pepper, garlic and thyme around it in a circle.
🏮 Lay down the iron nails around the poppet so that they “pierce” the circle, points inwards towards the poppet, one for each condition on your list. You can place a charged crystal at the head of each one for additional power if you wish. These are your hexes: you may rub spices or whisper malice into them as you will.
🏮 If it hasn’t already, focus on the binding of the hex until the incense stick goes out, layering up the energy. You may also use this time to focus on cleansing, healing, and moving on from the soon to be banished wrongdoer.
🏮 Lay out the small offering. I would recommend a shotglass of vodka, a egg cup of rice, or a tobacco cigarette. Depending on your path, the preferred offering may be different or an offering may be completely unnecessary.
🏮 Go to sleep. Let your mind be emptied of the one you are binding.
🏮 When the sun rises, the offerings will have served their purpose. Clean them away as appropriate. Then lift the poppet from the circle and dunk it in a jar of the water, followed by each of the nails. Add bay leaves and nettles. If it’s safe, you can detach the list of conditions and burn it instead of dunking it with the poppet.
🏮 Another cleansing of your hands to finish.
some crystals for beginners ✨
so, first of all, crystals will vary for individuals. one person may say that their number one is celestite etc while others will say something else. this is ok! they each have their own properties, which will probably tailor to their own craft needs!
In no particular order:
CLEAR QUARTZ (or any type)
clear quartz is very versatile, it can be used/programmed for any purpose!! i feel like clear quartz works so well with us is because clear quartz and our own bodies have silica! (though ours are liquid silica crystals). clear quartz is known as a “master healer” and will amplify energy, as well as the effect of other crystals. BASICALLY, IF YOU’RE JUST STARTING YOUR COLLECTION GET SOME CLEAR QUARTZ!!
ROSE QUARTZ
rose quartz is the universal stone of love, calmness, gentleness, and compassion. generally, this is just a great stone to be around!
AMETHYST
yep. another quartz. are we noticing a trend here?!?! i looooove amethyst. i feel like it is such a protective stone, and, is great for purification! amethyst is also great to develop psychic skills.
SELENITE
maybe i’m just being biased because selenite is my favourite stone… but i honestly don’t know what i’d do without it! selenite has great mental clarity and psychic qualities, but the main one that amazes me is the fact selenite charges other crystals! i usually charge my other crystals on a selenite slab and logs. it also has strong ties to the moon!
CITRINE
this crystal can be used to detoxify negative energies and encourage a more positive state of mind. it is also great for bringing prosperity & abundance!
THINGS I WISH I KNEW FROM THE START
selenite is really easy to break.. maybe it isnt a ‘beginner’ crystal for clumsy witches (like me)
some crystals will be damaged in water
some crystals fade in sunlight
cleansing is important!! i admit it doesnt have to be done all the time, but it should be done at least once!
opalite is just… pretty glass. and it usually gets marketed as moonstone!
most commercially available citrine on the market is heated amethyst, though it’s still good to use as citrine!

Medicinal Herbs & Uses: Cloves
Cloves are one of the highly prized spices, widely recognized all over the world for their medicinal and culinary qualities. The spices actually are the “flower buds” from evergreen rain-forest tree native to Indonesia.
Botanically, clove-spice belongs to the family of Myrtaceae in the genus; Sygyzium, and scientifically named as Sygizium aromaticum.
At their initial stages of development, flower buds are pale in color which gradually turn to green, and, finally develop into bright-red clove buds by the time of harvesting. The buds are generally picked up when they reach 1.5-2 cm in length.
Structurally, each bud consists of a long calyx; terminating in four spreading sepals and four unopened petals. These closed petals form into a small ball (dome) at the top. The sweet aroma of cloves is due to eugenol, an essential oil in them.
Medicinal properties and health benefits of cloves
The active principles in the clove are known to have antioxidant, anti-septic, local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, rubefacient (warming and soothing), carminative and anti-flatulent properties.
The spice contains health benefiting essential oils such as eugenol. It is a phenyl-propanoids class of chemical compound which gives pleasant, sweet aromatic fragrances to the clove-bud. Eugenol has local anesthetic and antiseptic properties, hence; useful in dental care essentials as well as in treatment procedures.
The other important constituents in this spice include:
essential oils: acetyl eugenol, beta-caryophyllene and vanillin, crategolic acid;
tannins: gallotannic acid, methyl salicylate (painkiller);
the flavonoids: eugenin, kaempferol, rhamnetin, and eugenitin;
triterpenoids: such as oleanolic acid, stigmasterol and campesterol
and several sesquiterpenes.
The active principles in the clove may increase gut motility as well as improve the digestion power through increasing gastro-intestinal enzyme secretions. Thus, helps relieve indigestion and constipation problems.
The spice also contains a good amount of minerals like potassium, manganese, iron, selenium and magnesium. Potassium is an important electrolyte of cell and body fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase.
Further, the spice buds contain very good amounts of vitamin A and beta-carotene levels. These compounds are known to have antioxidant properties. Vitamin A is also required by the body for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin in addition to essential for vision. Consumption of natural foods rich in flavonoids helps to protect the body from lung and oral cavity cancers.
Additionally, this spice is a good source of vitamin-K, vitamin-B6 (pyridoxine), thiamin (vitamin B-1), vitamin-Cand riboflavin. Consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful oxygen-free radicals.
Medicinal uses
· The essential oil, eugenol in this spice has been in therapeutic use in dentistry as a local-anesthetic and antiseptic for teeth and gum.
· Eugenol also has been found to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetics, but further detailed studies required to establish its benefits.
· Its decoction is sometimes used in treating flatulence and indigestion in traditional medicine preparations.
· It is also thought to have natural anti-parasite (kills intestinal worms) function.

· Clove oil is also used in aromatherapy.
Culinary uses
In order to keep the fragrance and flavor intact, clove is generally grounded just before preparing dishes and added at the last moment in the cooking recipes. This is because prolonged cooking results in evaporation of its essential oils.
This popular spice has been used in preparation of many regular dishes in Asian and Chinese cuisine since ancient times. Along with other spices like pepper, turmeric, ginger etc. is being used in marinating chicken, fish, and meat.
Some of Indian vegetarian, chicken and rice dishes (biriyani) contain cloves and in the Middle East, it is used in meat and rice dishes.
The spice also features in the preparation of soups, barbecue sauces, pickling and as one of the ingredients in curry powders.
Safety profile
Consumption of dishes prepared with large quantity of clove can cause gastrointestinal irritation, central nervous system disorders. Recipes prepared with this spice should be avoided in individuals with stomach ulcers, ulcerative colitis, and diverticulitis conditions. Eating cloves is also avoided during pregnancy.
History and Folklore
The name “clove” comes from the French word for “nail”.
Cloves were historically traded from the Spice Islands by ancient Romans and Chinese. The Chinese chewed cloves to freshen their breath.
Along with nutmeg, cloves were among the most sought after spices of the age of European exploration. Many atrocities were committed in their name. The Dutch wanted a monopoly on the clove trade so they destroyed clove trees wherever they found them growing outside the territory they controlled. This did not make them popular with the locals who had a tradition of planting clove trees in honor of the birth of their children. Eventually, competitors were able to establish successful groves of clove trees in other areas, including Brazil, Zanzibar, Madagascar and Tanzania. This took some of pressure off of the Malucca Islands.
Healing with Cloves
Clove oil has long been an essential part of the herbal first aid kit. It is both antibacterial and anesthetic. Rub the oil directly on your gums to numb a toothache.
Clove oil helps stimulate circulation to the skin. It can be added to warming massage oils and dabbed on acne to encourage healing.
Use clove buds in a tea to improve digestion, prevent and relieve flatulence and relieve nausea and diarrhea. It is also lovely steeped in milk, wine or juice with a cinnamon stick for these purposes.
Test a drop of clove oil on the inside of your elbow to ensure you are not sensitive to it.
Cooking with Cloves
Cloves can be added whole to many dishes. Traditionally, they are used as a mulling spice, they are steeped in warm wine, milk, juice or cider in combination with other herbs to make a complex and delicious warm beverage. Cloves are also used to stud a ham and lend their warm flavor it its saltiness.
But cloves can be used in many other ways. They can be added to stocks, fruit pies, and tea blends. They can be ground and mixed into baked goods.
Cloves are part of many spice mix including Chinese Five Spice Powder, Garam Masala, Curry Powder, Ras el Hanout and Worchestershire sauce.
It is best to buy whole cloves and grind them just before use for the best flavor or use them whole and cook them slowly to infuse the flavor and remove them before serving. The flavor of cloves is very strong, so it’s best to use them
Magickal Correspondences of Cloves
Cloves are masculine in nature and aligned with the planet Jupiter and the element of fire.
Used in magick to attract good luck and prosperity, to keep good friends close, and to help stop malicious gossip. Burn to prevent people from spreading rumors about you or push the cloves into a red candle and burn that.
To keep friendships strong, make each friend a cloth bag with seven cloves inside. Wear always.
Cloves can be added to money drawing and good luck mojo bags for gamblers and clove oil can be added to oils for similar purpose.
Cloves have been used as an aphrodisiac. Simply infuse cloves into wine or apple cider to enjoy its effects.
Other Uses for Cloves
Cloves can be mixed with tobacco and rolled into a cigarette for a tasty and satisfying smoke. In Indonesia, this is called a kretek. This word describes the crackling sound of burning cloves. Many American cigarettes are clove flavored using clove oil, but a true kretek includes the actual herb.
A pomander of oranges studded with cloves has been traditionally used to repel moths from closets. Clove oil can also be added to other insect repelling concoctions to protect against mosquitoes and ants.
Cloves can be used to freshen the breath and is used in mouthwashes and gums to this effect.
Cloves are considered masculine, and are associated with the planet Jupiter and the element of Fire. Used for colds and insomnia, cloves has also been used by witches for eons, Myrrh was burned on a daily basis. In ancient Greece the petals and leaves of roses were used to foretell the future, to protect one against evil witches and for healing the sick. In witch magic spells cloves are traditionally used to invoke prosperity and protection. It is especially good as a protection for children. It is also used in exorcism and for purification. Because of clover’s shape, the Latin word for nail has the same origin as the word “clove.” As a magic herb for witch spells, cloves is believed to encourage action rather than pinning one in place. Its scent helps with boosting confidence and breaking up hide-bound thinking.
Cloves is still used in cooking (ham or mulled wine, anyone?) but many have forgotten how to use this herb as a remedy and even fewer remember how to use it for magick. Yet, the numbing and antiseptic properties of cloves has made it gain a comeback as a herbal remedy in a day and age when people cannot always afford to see a dentist straight away.
Cloves is known to be anti-septic, act as a local anesthetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, rubefacient (warming and soothing), carminative and to have anti-flatulent properties. Cloves contains the natural pain-killer methyl salicylate, as well as the anaesthetic eugenol, making ideal as a remedy for tooth ache: First you need to rinse your mouth out with warm, salty water (use sea salt). Then mix a few drops of pure oil of cloves with half a teaspoon of olive oil and soak up the mixture with a cotton ball that you hold/dab carefully on the sore area.
Cloves tea: ground up one tablespoon of cloves buds in a mortar, making sure not to ground it so fine you can’t strain the tea later. Add the ground cloves to boiling hot water and let the infusion sit for 10-20 minutes, depending on preferred strength.
A note of caution: Cloves can act as an irritant, so people with sensitive stomachs may not tolerate cloves very well. It can also affect the central nervous system and pregnant women are advised to stay away from cloves.
In magick, cloves is said to correspond to Jupiter and the Star Sign Aquarius (11th House of Friendships), making The Star and The Wheel of Fortune the associated Tarot card. I believe this makes sense since historically, cloves has been used in friendship spells, and in Victorian times a pomander containing cloves and orange was given to indicate warmth of feeling.
7 Health Benefits of Cloves

Magickal
Properties of Cloves
* Enhances friendships * Increases good fortune * Attracts wealth * Exorcises evil influences / psychic protection * Stops gossip (I’m guessing this comes from how it numbs the mouth) * Helps you attract a new partner * Raises the vibration of any room in preparation for ritual and ceremony
It is better to buy whole cloves and ground them as and when you need them. Ground cloves are not very potent by comparison, as the essential oil is released quickly. Make sure that you transfer the buds to an airtight container that you keep in your fridge as soon as you have opened the package. You can easily test a bud for freshness by squeezing it between your fingers. If it gives off a scent when you do this, it is still fresh.
