the scents of past journeys down from the shelves.
What could have OP been writing all this time? Poetry? Bullet lists? Their deepest, innermost feelings? Unfinished novels?
The world may never know.
writing tip: put words on page. hope this helps. i will not be taking questions because i have not done this
hardest part of writing i swear!!
this and also the only difference between fanfic writers and writers who sell their own original works as careers is that fanfics aren’t monetized. that’s all.
being a “professional” writer doesn’t mean your works are inherently better than fanfics. I’ve read so many fics that are more professionally written than some published books.
whether or not a piece of writing is monetized has nothing to do with its quality.

Don't use AI to write. Use cocaine like a real author.
genuine writers getting wrongly accused of using ai because of witch hunt and proper grammar/structure in their works must be what being a woman in the 1600s who is wrongly accused of being a witch because she can read and is intelligent feels like
The two wolves inside every writer: "this is genuinely the best thing i have ever written. i am gifted. i am changed. this paragraph alone justifies my entire existence on this planet." and then five minutes later, same paragraph: "who wrote this. who allowed this. this reads like a golden retriever trying to describe grief. i need to lie down and reconsider everything." both wolves are always wrong. the paragraph is fine. you need a snack.
Write whatever you want. Write that incredibly niche thing that only two other people on earth will get. Write the super indulgent cliche thing that makes you kick your feet giddily. Write the angry rage story that whumps them all and makes people cry.
Whatever it is that YOU want to write. Write it. Because only YOU can.

Detective Dialogue Prompts!!
⟢ "Everyone in this room is lying. The question is who's lying about the right thing."
⟢ "You called it an accident. I've seen accidents. This isn't one."
⟢ "The victim knew their killer. You can tell by the expression they left behind."
⟢ "I don't believe in coincidences. Not in this town. Not in this case."
⟢ "Someone cleaned this room very carefully. Too carefully."
⟢ "You're hiding something. I'm not accusing you. I'm just letting you know I noticed."
⟢ "The alibi is perfect. That's the problem with it."
⟢ "Follow the money or follow the grief. Both lead somewhere ugly."
⟢ "I've solved forty cases. This one keeps me up at night differently."
⟢ "You're asking the wrong questions. The right ones are scarier."
⟢ "The truth is in this room. We just have to make someone uncomfortable enough to let it out."
⟢ "They wanted it to look random. Nothing about this is random."
⟢ "I've been lied to by professionals. You need more practice."
⟢ "The case was cold for ten years. Something made someone nervous enough to reopen it."
⟢ "Everyone loved them publicly. Find me someone who knew them privately."

The worst part about writing is that sometimes you actually have to write.
The best part about writing is also that sometimes you have to write.
I will not elaborate further.
Incredibly violent take of mine but I actually don’t think you need to relate to a story in any way to enjoy it. You can enjoy a story even if you can’t point at a character and insert some aspect of your personality or identity into them. In fact I would argue the need for a character like that to be present in every single story you experience is a sign of stunted growth.
