He should be out there finding Sora along with everyone else, but heâd done all he could for now and the others had pretty much forced him to have a break after sleepless nights. It was either go back to his island, funny how heâd always want to leave it, or be forced to stay in Twilight Town and be watched over by Roxas and his lot. Alone time was what he wanted right now, it could help him think, even if it was lonely without Kairi and Sora nearby. Never mind, heâs been alone before but even now heâs not totally alone. Closing his eyes, letting the sun wash over his face, Riku allowed himself to be pulled into his station.
The stain glass was a comfort to see, the light purple shining through as the familiar faces looked back at him. There was, of course, himself but also Mickey, Ansem and Namine. While normally, someone would be alone in this space, Riku was not. A man appeared in the same space standing next to him.Â
âAnsem.â Riku greeted the darker half.
âRiku.â Ansem nodded back to the younger boy. âThere was another presence here, and before your hopes arise it was not Sora. It left as quick as it came but I believe it may be in your world.âÂ
Of course it wouldnât be Sora, only a fool would get their hopes up. If it wasnât the end of all worlds, there was always going to be one other issue. In this case, some unknown intruder into his station and world⌠He would need to investigate before anything could happen as for all he knew, the intruder could be another Xehanort and want to end it all.Â
With a sigh Riku nodded and bid Ansem farewell and opened his eyes. No rest for the hero, he supposed. Standing up and brushing some sand off of his trousers, he walked down the beach. There was one place that could potentially house this intruder⌠The door he found Ansem originally. While he expected to see this figure by the door, there was someone on the beach lying down covered in sand and wet from the sea.Â
He ran beside the body, noting the clothing and the device. He wasnât from this world, that was certain. When he realised there was no pulse and he was dead, Riku jumped up and looked around, whoever killed him had to be near. The sudden robotic voice and jolt of life was enough to make him jump and look at the man, that was not normal.
When he started talking, there were so many questions but how could he go about asking them? Could he even trust Heartman?Â
âMy name is Riku by the way and youâre in Destiny Islands. You know, if youâre going to be traveling worlds, you should try to keep the order.â He could hear Donald at the back of his mind causing a smile. âWe do get time differences unlike some other worlds. I have to say, Bridges means nothing to me. Just answer one question, what are you doing in my world and how did you get here? If I think youâre lying, I will do whatever it takes to stop whatever youâre planning.â He didnât accept the handshake and instead narrowed his gaze.Â
