not to doxx myself but the situation in my country is getting pretty dire. our eastern border has been at war since 2014, and now we’re facing the possibility of a full-scale militarised invasion by russian forces. it’s not a certainty yet, as we’re still trying to pursue further negotiations and find a way out, so i’m holding onto hope. please keep us in your thoughts, and please read up on the conflict in ukraine — the lack of international awareness is fucking appalling

-- "You're them, aren't you? You're the knight."

Holy shit, she didn’t even think about this possibility. With the two combined, they might just be able to take over anything they can get their hands, or lack thereof, on before it was too late.

-- "We can't save the entire town, Susie. Who or what are you willing to sacrifice for the safety of the others, hm? Me? Noelle? That packet of chalk you've been hiding inside the water fountain for weeks and is now mouldy?"
Kris hesitates, then turns to her, eyes wide with their latest startling realisation.
-- "What if they get into the Dark World?"

– “See- while we turn our attention to the skies, they’re roaming the ground, manipulating our every move- open your eyes, Susie, and see the truth!”
— “ The snail people? Since when have THEY been a problem? Doesn’t your mom, like, eat snails or something? I thought she was going to be weaponized against the snails should Snailmageddon come. The government is more important than snails in terms of like, threat. I know I could kick a snail’s ass, but aliens? I dunno… ”
-- "Susie, Susie, Susie. Don't you see? The aggravation towards snails that my mother has caused is the whole reason they're teaming with the aliens! They're small, and slimy, and they go unnoticed, so they're able to wreak far more havoc than a threat we're prepared for."
