I used to love everything, you know.

The warmth, the joy, the endless days,

A season of carefree, sunlit ways.

But this year, something crept in,

A mistake made, a chance to begin

To question my love for the season so bright,

To trade the sun for a colder night.

I still love summers, though a bit more wise,

Embracing the sun and the stormy skies.

For in every season, there's beauty to find,

Sometimes I wonder

If I made the right choice

By letting go of us

While working on myself

What if I had stayed

Would we still be together

Or would I have lost everything in the end?

My mind is restless

insomnia at its finest.

You know there's a myth

That if you can't sleep for no reason

Someone might be thinking about you

The trees stopped swaying

The leaves don't smell like home anymore

And, the letters seem like a foreign code

So time can really change everything

The moon doesn't stare

The stars stopped shining like your eyes
