Max jumped alittle at the male speaking up so suddenly but he slowly nods as he started removing the bandages that wrapped his forehead, they were slightly bloody but the wound appeared to have closed completely.

Maxwell appeared to be remaining mute for some reason perhaps he was still afraid.

After watching Max go and carefully remove the bandages from around his head, Jasper held a hand out to take the soiled bandages from the other’s hands. Then with the tiniest smile, he waited until the bandages were in his grip, before he stood and walked away momentarily to dispose of them.

When this was done, Jasper made his way back over to the other, this time going to take a seat across from him instead. Smiling ever-so-patiently as he did so.

  AJ was giggling so hard his stomach hurt, his eyes shiny and cheeks red. jasper was the coolest adult in the history of the universe, in his opinion. his arms outstretched, the small boy could pretend he really was flying –

at jasper’s words the boy gasps, his eyes going wide and grin stretching further across his face. “ the whole wide galaxy ? oh boy ! “ then, almost shyly, as if he didn’t know the way adults played, and that it was totally him. “ is it me ? “

“It is!!” Jasper boasted proudly, giving a big smile up to the other, before he eventually went to scoop the little guy off his knees, and then with a little ‘hup’ Jasper rocked himself until he was sitting up. Then after gifting the little astronaut a raspberry to his cheek, he pulled the little guy into a biiiiig bear hug. Laughing as he did so.

                   let the screaming ensue.           sure, it may not have been entirely terrifying and somewhere in his mind david knew that jasper was just messing with him and this wasn’t a true story.              but what else could you expect from a counselor who had to watch over various children in a deep lake to make sure none would go under — the guy was tired and delirious out of his mind.          if that wasn’t enough,  he was rather more sporadic than usual. 

          when the man jumped, he’d knocked the flashlight out of jasper’s hand, causing it to plummet to the floor as the batteries came flying out the bottom of it.          hopefully it wasn’t broken.             after a short time, david found himself reaching backwards to feel for the bed, and before long sitting himself back down.                “ s-ssorry, jasper. “        there were heavy breaths as the counselor rubbed his eyes with a hand.          “ y-you know not to scare m-me all suddenly like that… especially — “    he yawned, “ not when i’m s-so tired. “

As soon as David let out that familiar girlish shriek, Jasper couldn’t keep his cool any longer. And after a curt snort escaped him, he began to laugh.

Even as the flashlight went hurdling out of his hands, the man only continued his childish snorts and laughter. Putting a hand on his stomach to keep the pains of laughing so hard, to as much of a minimum as he could manage.

Gosh did Jasper love ghost stories with Davey~

After a few minutes of laughing, Jasper eventually settled, and with another snort, the man brought his hand to his mouth. Looking towards the direction of David as he spoke, and then listening to him as he went to feel around, and sit back down on the bed beside him.

“Gee Davey, I’m sorry!” Jasper finally piped up, snickering again before he cleared his throat and just bit his lip with a goofy smile.

max leans back; jutting an arm out in front of himself to block the demon toy from getting any closer then it already is! 

   " oh heeeell no! i’ve seen that one fucking horror game about furbys and shit!– “    “ –and, i am not fucking about that life, jasper! “ eyebrows furrow together, eyes darting from the toy in the counselors hands, to his face.

   ” where the hell did you even get that?– was it from QM’s store? because then we should a hundred percent should’ve been burning it like, five minutes ago. “    ” –because i don’t even want to know where it could’ve even possibly been, ugh. “

“Aw, way harsh man.” Jasper goes to pull the toy back to his chest and away from the other after seeing his reaction. Then with a sheepish chuckle, he tilted his head.

“What? No way! This here gizmo belongs to yours truly. I like to think I have more sense in myself than to go diggin’ through the old man’s whack pad he’s got out here.” After saying this, he set the creepy toy down on the table and gave a small gleam.

“Oh come on Maxaroo~ Furbies are totally adorable little dudes! They sing and talk and everything.” Jasper snorted a bit as he held the creepy toy and shook it a bit to make it dance.

“And then... With it’s claws raaaaking against the walls of the cabin, the creature came closer.... And closer... It’s breathing sounding like an animal no man has ever heard before. And just as it came up to the young girl hiding under her covers---” Jasper paused for dramatic effect. Grinning into the flashlight’s beam before his eyes shifted to Davey, who was sitting beside him and, if Jasper had to guess, was probably on the edge of his seat.

Then, without warning, Jasper turned swiftly, grabbing David by the shoulders and yelling loudly to startle him.

“Whoooo’s my favorite little astronaut in the whoooole galaxy???” Jasper’s voice chimed. The man smiling from ear to ear as he lifted AJ up again with his knees and held his tiny gloved hands out as if he were flying.

“So uh.. Where did you say you were from again buddy?” Jasper hesitated as he turned to look at the newest co-counselor-in-training. Trying his best not to sound rude or... Was skeptical the right word? Oh well.

“Hey kiddo, y-you really shouldn’t be out here all by yourself ya know!” Jasper gave the teen a small concerned look as he stood a few feet away from him. Frowning a bit as he finally looked around, and then at him once again.

“Well you sure are looking a lot more chipper today.” Jasper gave the smaller a warm smile as he walked up beside him in the mess hall, and then went to take a seat beside him.

“Alright kiddo, come here.” As Jasper said this, he gently tugged Max over to the side, away from the current activity taking place. Before he crouched down to his height. Giving a frown as he looked at him.
