REINA

-Whether she’s poolside or beachside, expect to see her in a large sun hat with her hair draped over her shoulder, sunglasses so dark that no one knows where she’s looking, a one piece suit and PLENTY of sunscreen.

-She prefers the pool over the beach. Bonus points if it’s an indoor pool!

-She loves the beach. She finds them beautiful! However, she finds that it’s a lot harder to avoid sunburn when she’s at one and she burns EASILY!

-She is the one that keeps up with the times so that everyone else knows when it’s time to reapply.

-She’s a decent enough swimmer but she prefers to lounge in a nice comfy chair under an umbrella with her legs stretched out as she alternates between watching everyone else have fun and doing some light reading as she nurses a refreshing beverage.

-Side note, if it’s calm enough, she may accidentally fall asleep.

KAORU SAYAMA

-It doesn’t really matter what she wears as long as she’s comfortable! She loves big sunglasses, too and they’re pretty fashionable– dare I say, maybe even a little dramatic sometimes? Too bad she loses them often which is strange because she’s generally responsible with her belongings.

-She didn’t reaaaaally know how to swim until her work’s mandatory physical training! Before that, she would just stand there, lunge herself through the water while paddling her arms and call that swimming. Ever since the training though, it’s become a treasured pastime. It’s a nice workout and it can be a bit of a stress reliever!

-Since she’s such a strong swimmer, she would never turn down a challenge to race. In fact, she may even be the one to issue the challenge– Loser buys dinner!

-She likes the pool and all but as an Osakan, the love for the beach runs through her blood! If she were to ever host a friend that’s never been there, one of her favorite beaches would absolutely be on the tour itinerary.

-People joke that she’s a bit of a daredevil because there aren’t very many water sports that she would shy away from. Surfing, boogie boarding, waterskiing, scuba diving– you name it, she’ll likely do it! The woman would probably sky dive into the ocean if it were an option. (LMAO)

Because this is really fun to think about, I went a little insane and started imagining a world where Reina and Kaoru knew each other. CRAZY I KNOW, BUT HEAR ME OUT!!!

-Reina is the one to pack snacks, lunch and plenty of liquids. Actually, Reina would be the one to pack her bag with ANYTHING they might need, as opposed to Kaoru’s packing only what she knows she needs– sunscreen she forgot was there, a change of clothes, her favorite beer and two towels.

-Not that it matters but Kaoru is far more likely to wear a two piece swimsuit than Reina is…. Please, receive my vision... I beg.

-Reina would wind up spending more time in the water than usual because Kaoru wouldn’t let her spend their entire day off lounging around and not enjoying the day to its fullest. Actually, the only way Reina would even play anything is if Kaoru convinced her to.

-Every two hours, Reina would call Kaoru over to reapply sunscreen, but after a while Kaoru would wave her off and tell her to ‘stop being so uptight about getting a little tan’. Then, she winds up sunburnt. Reina probably wouldn’t say, ‘I told you so’, but she’d most certainly think it while helping apply aloe to the burns.

Reina and Kaoru, wow. Like if you agree! Jk hahaha.
