Iroh was so right for yelling at Zuko when he tried to capture Appa lmfao because Aang almost slaughtered those sandbenders for muzzling Appa, imagine if Zuko had actually captured Appa and then tried to keep him somewhere omfg Aang would’ve crashed tf OUT. Iroh said nahhh nephew we are not about to catch anyyyy of that smoke now let that bison tf GOOO 😭✌️
Tbh I really feel like TLOK is overhated and critiqued. I actually like Korra quite a lot, especially book 1 and book 3-4. Book 2 is the weakest season by far (which I blame Nickelodeon for), but I even like parts of book 2 because we get more world building and lore and we get to see how the avatar was created which was really fun imo. I also really like Korra as a character, I love the arc they wrote for her, especially how they devoted so much time to her overcoming trauma. It was very well handled. I don’t think it’s fair to compare TLOK to ATLA. ATLA was lightning in a bottle and it will never happen again. But the issues TLOK has aside, I still think it’s a worthy sequel to Avatar and it was clearly still made with love for the fans who had grown up with ATLA. It was darker, it was in some ways more mature and older in themes to match the audience that had grown with this world, and I like that TLOK was mainly about different ideologies. It was a good show, hell it was even a great show, and it was better than anything else Nickelodeon had playing 🤷🏻
we are so fucking back kataang nation

12 year old me didn’t play about them
"A hundred years. I can't believe it."
"I'm sorry, Aang. Maybe, somehow, there's a bright side to all this."
"I did get to meet you."

Bestie this read🤭🤭🤭🤭
Askdjfgkckl I’m crine 😭 bestie what is their obsession with the statue thing anyway? The whole reason Katara wasn’t shown to have a statue was because she was in s1 of TLOK. S1 was the only season they originally planned out, and the other characters from ATLA were presumed to be dead. That was why they were shown to have statues. This only became an issue in book 3-4 when Zuko and Toph made brief appearances. I guess the writers could have randomly included a statue of Katara in those seasons but it wouldn’t have made sense given the story and locations for most of those books. This whole statue thing is stupid af, and it’s a writing problem, or more specifically, a symptom of how Nickelodeon jerked the writing team around season by season of TLOK, leading to their writing issues, because they never had the opportunity to plot out a 4 season long show like ATLA was plotted. Plus, Katara makes more of an appearance than the other ATLA characters and is more plot relevant than any of them are. And she was shown and stated to have done more than any other ATLA character, including Aang himself.
And, Zuko built that giant Aang statue lmao. He is sooooo the other woman coded 🤣 zukaang is real

NOBODY'S SON, NOBODY'S DAUGHTER. - CHEMTRAILS OVER THE COUNTRY CLUB BY LANA DEL REY
Why am I seeing people trying to put blame on Aang for the 100 year war 😭✌️dawg he didn’t run away because of his refusal to be the Avatar, he ran away because they were plotting to separate him forever from Monk Gyatso, his father. If any avatar is to blame, it’s fucking Roku and he himself said so in book 3! Y’all gotta quit blaming the 12 year old genocide survivor for everything omg
