Son suffering dysphoria
Nov 23 My eldest son had one of the worst nights in his life. All I can say is we managed to keep him safe through the night, he is safe at home. He thought he could keep raw dogging his dysphoria but he clearly needs to start HRT and transitioning. He is very avoidant of asking for anything because knows we barely get the money for food and other basics. I don't want to lose my son because of money. I want him to have access to a happy life. What if I'm not there next time to stop him?"

"Usually I would just endure until next week to try to get my meds but every time I go without them I notice I don't last as much as before until I have to make a run to the hospital. [I remember their hospitalization, it was really scary]... I needed $125 to get them [monday] half price but every other day I need $250... We need $50 to take our eldest to the doctor for an abdominal pain after carrying grandma. $35 for the laundromat. $300 to cover food expenses for all 9 of us and the cats. $110 for my healthcare renewal. Everything else for clean supplies and other necessities....

"I can vouch for Calli @chingaderita! Ive known the family for several years now and they’ve consistently shown proof, was vetted by Kyra on my request when they first messaged, I’m quite sure, the search function on blogs is just awful and I’m having a hard time finding such an old post. But I talk to Calli often, we’ve had conversations in English and Spanish, and everything they say tracks with the proof provided. I just thought I’d say something bc I know you’ve been helping them too. Thank you for all you do.
About Calli
Calli, is a nonbinary parent dealing with chronic illness, chronic pain, unemployment and severe depression taking care of children, in-laws, and rescue cats . Calli is a kind person constantly boosting other people’s campaigns despite their families situation and limited time at compute cafes Calli in posts has discussed: has tumors, problems with gallbladder and liver, chronic joint pain. And a horrible pain in jaw that
We really need meds soon, has not been able to afford them in weeks, and we don’t want another hospitalization
“My gallbladder and liver need constant medication to not get further fucked up, I have a bunch of untreated tumor/growths I hope my healthcare will deal with at some point, I have chronic pain which affects my hips, back and left leg and sometimes my leg dislocates at random, just this August I’ve had two periods in less than 28 days, this is a common occurrence almost every month, and I’ve been dealing with teeth pain so intense it causes headaches, hurts my jaw, neck and now I have pain inside my right ear I suspect it’s related to my teeth pain.”
Summary of problems overall
dec29 It's late, I'm exhausted, haven't had a good night sleep in ages. We have a bunch of chronic panic, chronic illnesses, the most able bodied at home is probably me even tho my left leg dislocates at random, my left leg has jolts of pain at random too and my gallbladder and liver are actively trying to kill me. Oh, did I forget to mention the tumor and the many growths on my legs? Or the tooth pain I still have, I need that molar removed or im going to do it myself. Just, help us get a bed, the one we got is too moldy I'm tired of having to cover it with plastic so we can take turns to sleep on it at floor level. Also, urgently need funds to get my son the his next appointment at the trans clinic see if we can get him HRT or we'll have to get him DIY. We need to get more adult diapers too considering all the mobility issues our elderly are going through. If I dare to ask also for $10 so I can get nuggets and a treat for our son, he turned 9yo 2 days ago and he just wanted some nuggets please.
*They have been helping boost many campaigns, gaza and otherwise (and have asked me to boost these three while their internet is unreliable):

Maybe I should have added this to the main body of the post but I’m on my second period in less than 30 days, cause my liver and gallbladder trying to kill me isn’t enough I have many tumors growing in different parts of my body.

Thank you I did pay my healthcare!!! I was hoping with the extra I could get my meds but we ended up using it for food and taking my MiL to the hospital because of gastrointestinal pain, she had to stay under supervision for a whole night and is scheduled for more tests on Tuesday. We’re pushing her healthcare services to schedule her for a gastroenterologist as soon as possible, she has been unable to eat which has been a terrible combination with her diabetes. Can we ask for help affording her ensure bottles so she can at least eat that? We’ll need to do something about the humidity and mold soon, we get trapped in the rooms often, last night it took us over an hour to be able to reopen a door even with both my partner and me pushing. We need to get adult diapers btw. Please, anything helps!!!!
You know, it’s real nice that we got help to pay the vet bills and help my kid keep his cat safe and healthy but wow. It is obvious we do not matter at all. The moment our cat needed help we got the goals, both times But I’ve been trying to get my meds for weeks or months at a time and nothing. It’s real hard not to fucking cry
I know it’s hard for everyone but please, keep sharing, anything ANYTHING helps. We’ve been getting a bit of food and paying little by little what we owe at the corner store but the upcoming card payment is $190 and my meds are $130 and then let’s not forget my healthcare renewal. I also bring bad news, we’re starting with water shortages just like last year, we’ve gone from having 4 days of water a week to 1-2 if we’re lucky. Our only toilet is busted and there are 9 people here who use it. My kid still needs attention for a UTI he’s had for a couple of months now. And my partner has 3 ingrown nails and 2 big cuts on his feet he’s kept unattended for weeks. I’d hate to up the goal but we need every help we can get!!
more documentation from 2023.
Went back on my blog to find proof of the fire where my in-laws lost everything, this other one with pictures and proof that I’ve been sick and struggling to get my medication since August 2023. Just felt like having things organized and maybe make another blog to keep all proof I can save since we lost a lot of information and pictures/videos when we sold our phones and lost the computer.

My fiance and I are having multiple surgeries soon. We dont have dates yet, but we are told to expect consults within the next month or so, and to expect things to move quick after. These surgeries are gender affirming, but they're being pushed through so quickly because they're also going to treat severe, life affecting medical conditions we both have. This is amazing, especially because insurance will cover most of the medical costs.
But there's one massive issue. Hospitals generally cannot feed us. So we need to bring our own food which is going to be incredibly expensive (breakdown below the cut) and on top of that, weve been prescribed medication that insurance wont cover, so we need $85 for that.
I do art as seen below, I have a patreon and kofi for those. I have a GFM up to help with this and that explains a lot more too. If you'd like to help outright, here are some links.

Not being able to eat in hospitals is due to severe allergies, we've dealt with it before. We are allergic to several major allergens. The post i linked above has a lot of more specific info. The best thing we can do to assure we are able to eat during our hospital stays is to buy and bring pre-packaged/microwavable food. Doing this for a week has cost up to $300 before. We are currently looking at needing at least 4 weeks in the hospital.
We start a new gig soon which should help to cover household expenses but the medical stuff is still very urgent.
$5 has been recieved since this was posted. I had posted previously about needing medications for both myself and my fiance that insurance wouldn't cover, we got mind, and we arent far from gettinf his. We are currently estimating between the med for him that insurance won't cover and the food for the weeks in the hospital after surgeries, we will need $1,245. Obviously insurance hasn't yet processed everything, but insurance is expected to cover everything else. All things considered, this is extremely cheap for a handful of gender affirming surgeries + surgeries that will treat long term organ damaging health issues. It is also not something we can achieve by ourselves.
Huge thank you to anyone who shares or helps. It feels really surreal to be getting all this scheduled during pride month in an increasingly fascist country.
We have gotten $120 to go towards surgical costs since this was initially posted, and $45 to get the meds that my fiance needs. The goal is adjusted accordingly below. We are managing back to back specialist appointments (5 this week) leaving us little time for anything else, so any help making progress on this is incredibly appreciated.
At my pulmonary function test and just figured I'd drop a pic as proof of some of our medical situation. This is the machine they made me breathe into.
In a mix of scheduling error and miscommunication, we got stranded in town yesterday after my appt, but we did get home thanks to a friend. Nothing has been recieved for this in days.

theartistrans Happy pride, yall. I know this has a lot of notes, but I just got prescribed a med insurance won't cover, and this everything we've got from this just barely coveres is. We really need help with medical/related costs right no My fiance just got prescribed meds insurance won't cover too, so anything really really helps rn. I know this has nearly 700 notes but i realized today the link for PP was screwed up so sharing is very appreciated.

my last post about this. Their last post thread about this l
So just in case you don't want to scroll through the previous post: we have a car and our landlord fixed both of refrigerator and our freezer, but unfortunately we're still kind of short of food, we managed to get one of the car repairs done and another seems to have sorted itself out, but we have a pressing need to get $3000 in more immediate repairs done and get one of our side doors fixed at around $750, and I had a potential breast cancer scare/my daughter has had issues getting her root canal scheduled and the other dentists won't do their work without that being done.
So first off, the potential breast cancer situation: whatever it was with the first mammogram that concerned the imaging specialist is benign according to the second mammogram! I need to have a mammogram every year now, but yes. Very good news! So please take this as a friendly reminder to check your breasts monthly for lumps and get your mammograms whenever your doctor says you need them (and the self-exams should be done by everyone regardless of sex, because breast cancer affects men and women). Also good health news: my daughter finally saw her GP after nearly a year and she's got her HRT sorted out a bit more plus she's on a new arthritis medication (same one I'm on) and we're hoping the med changes will help her be in less pain, root canal withstanding.
Also mostly good news: our car is running well enough, but we would like to get the two repairs that are $1500 each done as soon as we can, just because (IIRC) one issue is the timing belt and the other is the struts, and repairs are vastly less expensive than replacements. We can manage without getting the side door fixed for now, but anything we can put towards those two repairs and gas would be a huge help.
And last update: I talked to someone from Legal Aid Tuesday about the habitability issues (if our fridge goes out again and they refuse to fix/replace it I now know what legal recourse I have, and I may be able to get them to replace it after we get our recertification they send last week sorted because my mother is insulin dependent and her disability accommodation includes having a working fridge). They're going to have a separate attorney call about our recertification paperwork, but I am pretty sure they are no longer trying to kick us out, though it does look like we're on a month-to-month lease at the moment.
Here is the bad news:
I am currently $300 overdrawn and have a $300 loan due on the 3rd of June, though I'm going to try and see if I can get the loan payment broken down into payments (this was because of food issues since we had to throw away most of our food in the fridge before it got fixed/laptop repair costs). I would like to cover some of the overdraft if possible.
I also have a lot of smaller bills and such that I wasn't able to pay because of the overdraft (though a friend helped with my phone bill already). This includes my electric bill, of which I owe $124 currently (I can carry some of my bill over but at some point soon I need to make a big payment)
We still do not have a ton of perishable food since most of our food stamps had gone to restocking the non-perishable food we had to use up when the fridge wasn't working. We kind of need milk soon, but a huge help would be food from our Amazon wish list of just snacks and stuff we can eat in between meals as well as the boxed meal kits I can make by adding ground beef.
I still do not have possession of my laptop, which I was quoted would have been finished almost a week ago. So I'm kind of stuck not being able to do huge updates or update often because I have both psoriatic arthritis and carpal tunnel and it's been getting harder and harder using my phone or my laptop while I am in bed (fortunately we found a small side table a neighbor was discarding that I can use for my laptop once it's repaired so I can sit up and use a wrist rest and all that).
So yeah. If anyone can help immediately with the overdraft and the smaller bills (I think grand total $600 would cover everything) now and I can work towards the repairs as well as clearing out my remaining storage unit, that would take such a weight off my shoulders.
So good(ish) news first: I finally have my laptop back! Unfortunately I got it back twelve days after I was supposed to, which screwed me over for a lot of stuff I had deadlines form, they lost my charger as well (fortunately I was able to find a replacement really quickly) and they didn't even offer any discount for future services or anything like that, so I will not be going back to them to get my mouse pad looked at (my cat sat on my open laptop and now it's unresponsive; fortunately I like the feel of an actual mouse so I primarily use a USB powered mouse). So I will be able to update my blog more with my help posts and those of the people I generally reblog a lot.
Other news: I wasn't able to get the knee brace before physical therapy, but I managed to do my knee exercises decently enough by lowering weight limits and the like. I would still like help getting it but there's no rush right now because I'll have some money on the 3rd and can cover it then.
But yes. Any help with covering at least my mom's overdraft would be a huge help (we got our first payment of the month early so my overdraft was covered even though I didn't have much leftover, but my mom is still $133 overdrawn), but we're not panicking too much since I was able to get my payday loan set up so I'll default on the 3rd and then can reach out and try and get a payment plan sorted, and I got some of my other loan payments lowered as well. Electric bill is going to be super freaking expensive, though, so I may need help with that later next month when the new charges for May hit. And, of course, we're still trying to raise $3700 for the car repairs.
Unfortunately I did not get any help with the overdraft, but on the plus side I was able to pay off a ton of smaller loans, make a little headway on the electric bill and credit card payments, and pay half the internet bill, which will keep our internet on for now. Because my mother and I have a perpetual borrow/repay cycle with the MoneyLion app, I wasn't able to get all of our money back at once, but I do have enough left to get us gas and also get a haircut/beard trimming for my daughter (she doesn't have a huge amount of dysphoria but when her beard gets long it starts bugging her a lot). If anyone wants to chip a little to get my mom's hair cut, too, that would be amazing.
I found out one of the loans I currently have that I owe about $654 can be "bought out" completely for over half the price ($284.54) if I pay it all at once. I would really like to take advantage of that option because I have to continue making $110 payments every month for the next four months, then the last payment will be doubled due to pushing one payment to the end of my payment cycle. This was the lease agreement I took out to get the laptop that I just got back from the repair shop, so paying it off before something else breaks and I need to cover repairs again would take a huge weight off my shoulders. Otherwise we still need help with the car repairs, with filling up more of our pantry, and starting to go through and clear out the storage unit.
So for some reason while I thought all of the bills had come out before I sent what was left of my money to y mom's bank account, apparently as of today I am $85 overdrawn? If someone can send me $36 ASAP via PayPal I can cover enough of the overdraft not to get hit with two $34 fees (at the very most...hopefully). I've had a long and stressful last few days with very little sleep so this would just make my life so much easier. Thank you.
So I managed to get the initial overdraft paid off, but unfortunately I had to purchase incontinence underwear and flea treatment for my cats, and the refund I am expecting from an Amazon purchase (the knee brace I bought for the knee I get injections in was too small) that would cover enough of the overdraft to get me under my limit won't arrive for another week. So if I can get $35 I'll be good for now, and I can put the other $35 to the rest of my overdraft when it hits my mom's account.

In a mix of scheduling error and miscommunication, we got stranded in town yesterday after my appt, but we did get home thanks to a friend. Nothing has been recieved for this in days.

I'm terrified that I won't be able to pay my rent & bills this month!!
Wednesday, June 10th: Happy Pride, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I'm struggling to pay some bills, which are due before I receive my welfare!!
I'm sorry that I have to e-beg again. However, as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. And due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to make ends meet. With the rising cost of living, I have been relying on my credit cards to pay bills and simply get by on a day-to-day basis.
This has cost me a great deal, and repaying them is more than I can afford. I’ve put off making this post and tried to manage these bills on my own, but I’m really struggling because I can’t cover them with the limited welfare I receive, and I won’t be paid until the 30th.
My birthday is also on June 19th, and I’d be very grateful for any help with my bills and getting some groceries.
Again, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would mean a lot, and sharing helps just as much.
I trust Gemma because once she told me in messages to keep my money because she had met the target, explaining she had just woken up from illness and not been able to update her blog

May 19 update ~
It's a mixed bag to report tonight. The good news being that I FINALLY got my medical leave approved, dating back to December 12, 2025. Which clears the way for my State application for short-term disability pay. But I'm far from out of the woods yet.
Got a bit of help from my Church to pay for a couple days' lodging, but in three nights more, I'll be back to sleeping in my car. This post has been reblogged 200+ times, and I'm grateful beyond words for those who have so diligently done so, but sadly not a single donation has come as a result. So, here I am, trying again, while knowing chances are slim that I'll get the miracle I need. My need for the coming week remains:

I've been scrambling since last week to get some form of shelter beginning on May 14th. My last option was a relative who lives 2 1/2 hours north of here, and I stressed it would only be for two weeks because all of my doctors are here in Connecticut, and my Medicare is through CT as well, so I'd have to come back here soon. She said no anyway. As it stands now, I'll be spending a full week in my car, and I honestly don't know how my health is going to survive it. I wonder if it will decline enough to be admitted to the hospital; that may turn out to be my only solution.
I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow, and they have finally promised to address the paperwork I desperately need to get my sick leave, and thus my temporary disability pay, approved. But that obviously isn't going to get processed by May 14th. After my appointment, I'll call my church to see if they can help me at all (it's near midnight as I write this), but time is running out fast for me to find a solution. In the meantime, all I can do is pray.
