I Just love Moshang

I felt like it was something obvious. The way the novel went out of its way to mention they were both isolated because they wanted to survive in some way. Survival meant something different for them, Mobei-Jun knowing what it's like to fear for his life and Xiang Fei devoting himself to something that will help him survive, but it was survival all the same.

It always felt like this is what drew Mobei-Jun to Shang Qinghua to me. Their first meeting was Shang Qinghua begging for his life, and I am to believe this means nothing to someone who wished his doing the same meant something to those humans? No matter how pathetic it was, seeing someone value their life so much must have done something for him.

The theme of survival, and wanting a life felt like such a prominent theme in the Shang Qinghua chapter, from both of them. I doubt that was a coincidence. After all that talk of survival, of being happy with the bare minimum, didn't it feel like the chapter ended by choosing more than survival, choosing to live a life?

Despite him MENTALLY being a human, he still can't perfectly present as one, some traits will always remain. (i.e. slit pupils, demonic qi, hamster ears, demonic markings)

However, I also think that SQH's fate will always land him in some sort of long suffering, underappreciated labor force so yes, he will eventually wind up being back at the Cang Qiong Logistics peak... just not in the way you'd expect.

Bet some of y'all have been wondering: who's gonna be the An Ding peak lord if SQH is off being a demon and such? Never fear, for the system always has a solution... and who said there couldn't be more than one transmigrator?

He definitely spent a lot of time hiding in his animal form from his murderous demon family growing up: hoarding food when possible (hooray for hamster cheeks), finding small crevices to squeeze into, planning his eventual escape, nibbling on the rafters like any good, self respecting rodent....

Little did he know, that there was ALREADY a bird demon who had claimed the rafters as her nesting grounds. What a shame, sorry er-jie. RIP Shang Qinghua... everyone knows that running into a BIRD OF PREY demon as a HAMSTER (bite-sized) is an instant death sentence... or is it?

Tune in next time for more unreliable narrators who may or may not have PTSD from hiding underneath a cabinet for a week straight while a psycho demoness jie tries to harvest his baby skin!
