James being an ex military type has a certain way of keeping all his stuff, but he's not averse to piles of weekend newspapers and half done crosswords scattered hither and yon. Also I literally follow him round the house shutting drawers, and putting stuff away. Neatly.

My Sylvanian house and all the junk inside is in the front room for the girls to play with, the twelve year old has put everything in order, folded up the little clothes and put them in the drawers and wardrobes, all the little bears are tucked up in their beds. She's just like me. The nine year old is not.

I'm of the opinion that a woman with anxiety and OCD will make a man the best housewife. Worrying about if she's doing it right coupled with making sure everything is ironed within an inch of its life and stored in neat rows and piles, and that the cushions are plumped and arranged. This must give him huge confidence in her ability to run his home efficiently, together with an annoying shadow following him obsessively around it.
