Where to Find the Hope You and I Need?

So I’m pretty sure that feeling of restlessness, loneliness, abandonment, hurt, anger, envy… Ok practically all the nega vibes ever have plagued us at one point in our lives. So I wonder, when feelings of hopelessness plague me, is this the enemy attacking me? Or is this God’s plans for me? Last Wednesday during bible group, I chanced upon this verse:

"I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future" Jeremiah 29:11 :)

As we lead our lives, problems/issues/demons will easily bring us down and lead us away from God. But there is always hope in God because God is the only source of hope (Romans 15:13). He fill us with joy and peace through our faith in Him. Last December, I was plagued/tormented/attacked by my own demons. I felt so angry and conflicted. I texted my friend, she advised me to do two things: PRAY & READ YOUR BIBLE. Oh how powerful those five words are. In an instant, all the nega vibes immediately lifted. So what I’m saying is… Pray and trust in His word, trust in His purpose. Because His purpose is always good, pleasing and perfect. I pray today that you and I will not lose hope :)

I first met You when I was heart broken. My first love had left me and for the first time in my life I truly understood what it felt like to have your heart actually break. It was painful. 

I did anything and everything I could to feel numb: alcohol, illegal substances, partying, boys, you name it I did it. I was such in a bad place and I felt my spirit slowly fading away. Until an angel, brought me to You. Probably he was tired of seeing me drunk beyond my wits and crying non-stop. The term intervention was not used as often as it is now and looking back that is what happened to me. It was through my guy best friend, together with his sister and their mom, who introduced me to You. 

Ok, so I must admit, I never stayed in the straight and narrow that long but heck I was living and loving life! I woke up one morning and felt I could breathe again, so I forgot You. But now, I’m trying to make my way back. I’m embarking on this new journey, a new adventure and I’m ready to walk again with You. 

So my friends, if at this point, you are still reading this post then I thank you from my heart and invite you to come and walk with me. I promise to be embarassingly honest whilst finding the sunny side of this adventure.
