Mami's awkward
Mami was trying to keep her fears under control, knowing that stress could hurt the child that had been growing inside of her the past nine months, or worse, make that child believe that it was time for him to arrive. Despite this, sure enough, she felt a warm trickling on the inside of her legs, spilling onto the dingy, carpeted floor. Taking a step back, she placed one hand on her abdomen and one on the steel railing on the wall, wincing as pain shot up her back, an awful squeezing as if someone had grabbed all of her organs into a tight fist, then twisted.
"Heās coming," Mami breathed, looking up at Heart with wide eyes. "Heās coming!"
"Mami please, we're not in a movie... " His pleads would do nothing but perpetuate his accusations. He digs in his pocket and sees that he has one little bar of signal. "Okay, Mami, I got a sliver of signal, and I'm gonna call emergency okay? So maybe...stay out of the puddle and sit or brace the pain against the rails."
Ā He waits for her to respond before making the call.
"Maybe they'll be dramatic and rip the doors open for a lovely lady like you, eh?"
