Okay so my question is church is basically a community which was formed with its ideals and rules a long time ago..

Obviously sexism, casteism, racism..etc were prevalent at that period,which in turn affects family, school and also the church.

It's decades later, laws have changed, societal norms have changed,money, social meadia etc

But the church remains rigid and somewhat archaic in its ideologies..

Dont u think it's time they changed some of it to appeal to newer generations?

Example:

Keep the Sabbath day holy- as a catholic am I not supposed to work or study? That's not a feasible option.

Women should cover the heads in church- I have no issues with covering my head but u have to accept that it's born out of mysognist ideals,

People who suicide go to hell- mental sickness is as bad if not worse than physical sickness and it's time people felt it as such

Comprehensive sex education is what both men and women need to be informed.  Without information, young women and girls are more likely to have an unplanned pregnancy or get an STD/STI.  Also, when people have more information on sex, how to say no, when to say no, and most importantly, to recognize a no… sexual assault and nonstranger (date) rape is less likely to occur.
