Hi Everyone. Harvest time is almost here as the Celtic year rolls around towards Lughnasadh. This is a warm, fertile and fruitful time. Here where we live in the Hen Ogledd, it is warm and dry today (unlike elsewhere in the UK). As I write it is still fine. In the Wild Wood the rowan berries are turning red now and raspberries abound along with wild cherries. The fields are ripening too. It is a great time to be out walking the woodland paths, totally clothes free. The air is warm. Nude is the best and only way to be.

This Friday I will bake bread to take and share to a friend's hand-fasting on Sunday. Grain is a symbol of the harvest and a hand-fasting an ancient Celtic way of celebrating commitment. Lughnasadh which falls at the start of August marks an popular and ideal time for this ancient tradition. Our two friends will be doing their hand-fasting naked, in a stone circle, accompanied by a community of friends who will also be unclothed. This is how nature intended us. It is the most honest and sincere way to pledge your love, just as the creator made you.

I too will remember my ovows to my beloved and my commitment to him. Pledging and giving yourself completely is best performed naked! Clothes hide and hold secrets, they prevent the disclosure of our true selves. Clothes blur outlines and speak of ostentation or false status. Naked we are our true selves and that symbolise that our intentions are pure. Naked is how we love and embrace. Naked is natural.
