I just wanted to put into words how shocked I was the first time I played Bayonetta and witnessed such a scene; it's something hard to forget 😩

But to provide some context, since many of you may not know where this villain came from, ZigZag, known as the Grand Vizier of the Golden Land. He's part of the movie "The Thief and the Cobbler" , and he's one of the main antagonists, along with Mighty One-Eye. His goal is to obtain the Balls of the Kingdom (literally balls, they are golden balls that bring protection to the kingdom) and then blackmail the king to win the hand of Princess Yum Yum (one of the protagonists). It can be said that this film is what made Aladdin what it is today. The concepts are very similar: a vizier in love with the princess who likes the poor guy. But there's a catch with this film: it took about 20 years to make and, in the end, was never finished. Mainly due to Richard Williams' perfectionism. But for those who say there's no resemblance between the two films, I'll show how similar the Genie and Jafar are in personality and physical appearance compared to ZigZag.

The genie is literally a well-made copy of ZigZag; both have an extravagant personality, but while the genie is a good being with real magic, ZigZag is just a charlatan who only got into trouble because of Tack' tacks. Meanwhile, Jafar and ZigZag.

For this one, I won't even say anything. Both are in love with the princess, they want to ruin the one who appeared at the palace and won the princess's heart, BOTH HAVE A PET BIRD and are viziers. Like, literally the same person. But a particularity of ZigZag that I think makes him unique is actually his more extravagant personality. Jafar, despite having his pearls of wisdom, is more serious even when he's talking to Iago, but ZigZag? I can't even say how much I feel sorry for Phido (the pet bird), the little creature is mistreated in every way. And I think the fact that the animation is more fluid in The Thief and the Cobbler gives ZigZag a more dramatic movement than even the Genie and Jafar have. Besides, another point for ZigZag is that he's voiced by Vincent Price. Yes, Vincent Price.

Many people probably don't know the musical Cats, and most of those who do know it's because of that awful CGI-heavy movie (opinion: that movie would have been much better if they had followed the original script and costumes, because the costumes in the previous versions were so good, especially those from 1983 and 1998). Continuing... I was scrolling through TikTok and came across a video about Cats, specifically the song "Memory" from the 1983 version. Well, I went to the comments and they were talking about the singer, and since I really liked that song, I decided to look her up, and wouldn't you know it, I discovered that the wonderful voice that sings that song is the same person who played the teacher in Carrie from 1976, Betty Buckley!!! I was taken by surprise; besides being a great actress and me really liking her role in Carrie, she also sings one of the most beautiful songs in a musical. In addition to having a enviable and admirable voice.

I just got home and I feel a strange urge to log into Amino to talk to some online friends I haven't spoken to in a while and to see how the communities are doing, and as soon as I enter the app I'm faced with a blue home screen and a "no connection" message. I mean, I have nothing to do with these people's lives, but don't you feel kind of bad? Like... these people were criminals! Besides, most of you are all hypocrites. I remember reading a scene where a member of this CURSED fandom introduced herself and said she was Black and Jewish, my reaction was instantaneous 😰 like, how can you be black and jewish and still like those guys? THEY TRIED TO KILL YOUR ENTIRE RACE ?!

The worst part is that it's hard to tell which people are doing it for satire or because they genuinely enjoy that kind of stuff. A typical "lowkey must" post in that fandom is: "OMG HE'S SO CUTE! He's such a silly boy!" AND THEN IT'S HITLER!!

Lately, what we've seen most on TikTok is people defending Marie Antoinette, as if she remained a 14-year-old child her whole life. Obviously, I think the way the revolutionaries treated her was quite wrong, but she certainly wasn't a saint and was complicit with the system of the old regime. I love Marie Antoinette, but I think it's time for people to start separating fiction from reality.

Out of nowhere I became obsessed with Nefera and I needed to edit her, especially since she's a character who doesn't appear much in the average story (mainly because she's kind of a b*tch and not one of the main, but it's okay, we still love her).

I found the first part a bit slow, since I didn't have much historical context at first, I didn't really understand what was happening. Also, at first, the extremely exaggerated acting bothered me a bit. But at the end of Part 1 (it took me almost months to finish Part 1), I saw a comment about the film saying that the film was expected to be so dramatic considering Russian ballet and its art. After that comment, I was like, "That actually makes a lot of sense..." and after that, my view completely changed. I finished watching Part 1 and immediately started watching Part 2, which I watched in two days (both films are around an hour and a half long), and I found it a masterpiece of cinema, especially the last part of the second film. The Oprichniks' dance? Chef kiss! But one thing I hadn't noticed from the beginning was that this guy:

WAS NOT A GUY, BUT YES A WOMAN! AND WORSE, IT WAS THE TSAR'S AUNT IN THE FILM!

I was halfway through the second part, the part where Ivan discovered that his aunt had poisoned his wife, but I was like, "Aunt? But wasn't that the guy in black?" So I went to the credits at the beginning of the film and saw that the supposed guy in black was the Tsar's aunt. And then I thought, uhm! Representation: a man playing a woman? NO! IT WAS A WOMAN PLAYING A WOMAN! I googled it and saw that the actress's name was Serafima Birman, and I looked at the images of her playing the character in the film and I really couldn't see the resemblance; it didn't seem like the same person. And this discovery made my day 100 percent better.
