“Giselle” 2015, VanDyke and Salt printing process Halie Scaletta This is one of my favorite projects I started last semester. I’ve been experimenting with different fabrics and materials like tulle (here) silk, and chiffon to represent and depict sensations, feelings, and the ethereal. 

Mimicry of the sensation of feeling oneself being watched through a window from a far; brief vignettes of an interruption in existence. 

I LOVE being able to shoot with this fox whenever I’m home in Vegas. It also means I get to play with styling hair and makeup and I’m DIGGING this 70′s foxy housewife vibe.

It was terrible and rainy today but for the hour it ebbed we got to do a cheeky shoot for my art portfolio. I love the springtime, a bundle of bulb flowers are $5 from any street vendor! 🌸🌹🌼🌻🌺

My co-worker Tammy is going to be a Grandma! I got a chance to do these photos of her beautiful daughter Jasmine and her soon-to-be daughter Jade. I'm so excited for you fabulous ladies! 

April and Sean got married yesterday, and I got to see her 2 minutes before she walked down the aisle. Regardless, I cracked and I totally cried. April is a good friend and brilliant studio owner and educator and on top of it, a phenomenal dancer. Sean is the brother of one of our dance friends, and they couldn't be more perfect for each other. He's a fantastic artist with a killer wit and he's always making her smile. Congratulations you two, you'll have a wonderful life. 

Grad season means lots of grad parties! Pictures of selfies are probably my new favorite candids. Congratulations RJ!

Ray and Deidre managed to get engaged and married at the little chapel on the Las Vegas strip all in a matter of one day! They own the gym where my mom and I work and I;m beyond honored to have been able to shoot their save-the-dates... They're just so cute! 

All of my 2014 seniors are finally done with high school! You guys are the coolest. Congratulations Kristina, Elizabeth, Travis, Austin, and Madison! Y'all are some amazing future writers, athletes, and creative minds.
