How does Jack feel being a magical boy? And is he more of the type to make a strict plan beforehand or try and keep everyone alive in the moment because they all rush in?

Anyways what do the boys use to transform is it just their mage pens? If that’s the case could they use any magestone to transform or is just like a spirit thing they have to call on to transform?

They all have a special gem that Idia managed to hide in their magestones (so no one would see their gem and connect the dots)

It’s mostly adrenaline but they can still likely feel it pretty bad. If the adrenaline runs out before the fight is over then they just kinda have to keep fighting through the pain.

Once they transform back, if it hasn’t already, yes the adrenaline will just vanish and they will be slammed with that pain all at once, but usually the other first years are there to help them when they need it (like if they can’t walk then they’ll be carried to Ramshackle).

Ortho helps with scanning the battlefield and telling the boys the best course of action; taking into account their abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

Idia knows tropes and can take guesses as to what might happen next and what they need to train for. He’s about 87% accurate.

The boys have transceivers to communicate with Idia and Ortho as well! And Idia somehow also has a secret room he managed to build in Ignihyde (not even he nor Ortho know how they managed to do that) to hide away in when he’s talking to the boys on missions so no one can come into his room and overhear and realize he’s the mentor.

I know you haven’t designed Sebek yet but possible fairy wings????? Or cool crocodile features? Just ideas lol I love Sebek

But to answer your question, yes, Sebek will have wings incorporated somewhere in his design. All of the magical boys will somewhere, so some will be more obvious than others.

This will make a little more sense when I make red pages to show all the details of their outfits!

The injury must be pretty bad to still leave a scaring when they have healing magic (that works automatically).

The reason is not only to keep them able to fight but also to hide their identities. If someone connected the dots that one of the first years happen to have the same injury one of the magical heroes did, then it’d reveal them.

There may be times they still get faint scarring, but the injury would have to have been awful.

Blot cannot be accumulated in their magical boy forms unless they’re in genuine distress.

And I don’t mean “Oh, I’m so upset and mad at this phantom right now!” Either. I mean “I just watched my entire view of myself get shattered and thrown into an inferno.” Kind of distressed.

The kind of distress that forces your brain to make emotional decisions rather than logical ones, no matter how level headed you usually are.

This is going to be a very long ramble btw and I’m not apologizing.

I don’t exactly know if you’re talking about who discovered the magical boys’ existence first or their identities, so I’ll simply say…

First of all, I won’t reveal anything about any possible identity reveal scenes yet. The reason is because I’m still planning out possibilities and would like to keep suspense up as to whether it’ll actually happen. I have drafts for some possible outcomes of this idea, but none are official just yet.

If I do go with the idea, then I’ll have it revealed in the story! In the meanwhile, just sit tight!

For the existence interpretation, everyone actually discovers it at once! This will make more sense when the prologue is done and out.

A brief explanation is that the first phantom actually ends up in the school and begins wreaking havoc. This is what triggers the boys to transform, mostly by some strange, sudden instinct, as they didn’t have any idea about it beforehand.

All housewardens around the school gave all students permission to use offensive magic, but none of the student’s magic had much effect. That’s when the first years come in, with magic that was actually effective against the phantom.

You can guess Idia’s reaction when he watched through his screen as mysterious heroes with unreadable magical signatures appeared and fought off the phantom attacking the school.

Especially when only about an hour after it suddenly a group of first years are at his door requesting to see him and talk about it…
