Passing, very masculine trans men whose response to bathroom bills is "well look at me, tee hee, this is who you want in the women's restrooms" are woefully missing the point and it annoys me so much. No. They don't want trans men who look like men in the women's restrooms. These bathroom bills aren't being passed in a vacuum. They're being passed along with laws criminalizing transition and legalizing forced detransition. They don't want trans men in the women's restrooms. They want to detransition you, and if they can't do that, they want you dead. If these people see a trans man who actually looks like a man in the women's restrooms, they will shoot him without a shred of remorse, and they'll get away with it. Oh my fucking god.
