- i have class at 10 am

- i take 15 minutes to get ready in the morning

- but i actually take 30 minutes to get ready because i zone the fuck out and forget what i’m doing every 2 seconds

- it takes me 15 minutes to walk across campus

- except that’s when im stressed and walking super fast bc i’m late, which makes me sweaty and stressed and gross when i arrive. and the teacher and half the students get there early so it’s awkward to arrive on time and have everyone look at me

- so i add 15 minutes for walking time and getting there early to avoid stress and confrontation and also not getting a good seat by the wall

- so it takes me thirty minutes to get to class which means i need to leave thirty minutes before ten, which is 9:30

- and honestly i’m usually late so i leave at 9:35 or 9:40 and end up being *just* on time

- but ideally i leave at 9:30

- so i have to get ready at 9:00

- but what if i don’t get my backpack put together the night before

- and what if i want to eat something

- and what if i haven’t prepared my outfit yet

- and what if i can’t find my wallet or my shoes or my jacket or my keys

- so we add thirty minutes to be safe

- and now i’m waking up at 8:30

- except i can’t wake up then because if i wake up then i won’t get up until like 15 minutes later at the very least

- so we wake up at 8:15!

- and that’s how i end up with an alarm list that looks like this:
