I mostly stayed away from Tumblr in 2015, finding myself too old & too far along in a professional job to be writing personal things online anymore. I really didn’t write very much in my actual pen & paper journal either, finding that old thing to be full of bullet point lists of things I wanted to accomplish, without much follow through. Actually, I find I’ve accomplished a whole hell of a lot more since I stopped journaling. Since I stopped stopping to reflect. I went back into some old entries, just to get some confirmation I’ve made progress, and I got to check off so much shit I had been trying to do for years. Usual 20s personal goals: better with money, lose weight, putting myself out there creatively, etc. I find myself, at 30, going into next year with goals that are far less measurable, but way more meaningful.
