I think my favourite thing about the YA genre is the way they introduce all the characters and flesh them out with interpersonal dynamics and dinner parties and let you really get to know them and then kill them off brutally one by one. It is so cliche but its just good

Omg i actually got the unofficial collection to work. Guys ive been thinking about homestuck lately. You know it was actually just really effective YA fiction, like the hunger games or divergent or whatever the fuck. Just marketable and had themes about identity and stuff. Im not above saying i still have a soft spot for YA lit and homestuck def falls into that category for me
