supremosuperiore has translated another Paperinik/PK story! I have added it to the Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck English Translated Comic Archive:

Also reordered/rearranged some PK New Era stuff to be in a more accurate order. Enjoy!

The reason AI is taking over the music industry is because weāre stuck in the timeline where Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted āTheodoreā Logan are fictional characters.
Theyāre not real in this universe, therefore they cannot save all of music and humanity as we know it.
So, weāre stuck with AI slop instead of the Wyld Stallyns.
@groovierjake
Occasionally there are character sheets that get paired with PKNA comics (labeled as part of the "PK Files" series) after the main stories, and I've only ever been able to find a handful of them translated into English so I figured that for archival purposes I would seek out the images and translate them myself!
This post contains all the character files from PKNA chapters #0.2 - #16 (and as such may contain character spoilers for those issues so be warned!)
I'm continuing work on the second batch so I'll put a link here when that post is up. Keep in mind that this project has taken me a very long time already, so it's probably going to be a while!
@puffyducks has translated some more obscure Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck stuff! This time, some of the PK Files, the character sheets included in the back of various issues of PKNA! I have added Part 1 of the PK Files to the Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck English Translation Archive! https://archive.org/details/paperinikduck-avengersuperduck-english-translated-comic-collection/Duck%20Avenger%20New%20Adventures-Paperinik%20New%20Adventures/Duck%20Avenger%20New%20Adventures%20PK%20Files%20-%20Part%201%20-%20%2300.2%20-%20%2316%20%28puffyducks%20Scanlation%29/mode/2up

The Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck English Translated Archive Has Been Updated!

Note: Hey, this is goodolgroovyjake, my old account is currently not easily accessible to me now due to getting hacked, so I'm posting on this blog for now!
So recently, Fantagraphics put out a new book entitled "This Looks Like A Job For Duck Avenger!", which is an English translated TPB of Luc āBatemā Collin's and Nicolas Pothier's 2024 4 part Duck Avenger story of the same name, originally released in France. The TPB also comes with a newly made origin summary of Duck Avenger! It has now been added to the English Translated archive!
Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck (English Translated Comic Collection)
https://archive.org/details/paperinikduck-avengersuperduck-english-translated-comic-collection/ While Duck comics, in the US at least, waned in popularity long ago, it's a completely different story in other parts of the world, namely Europe. They never stopped loving Disney Duck comics, and continue to publish new stories featuring them, with Duck comics outselling both Marvel and DC... but that doesn't mean they didn't try their own hand at creating superheroes featuring the Ducks. Created in by Elisa Penna, Guido Martina, and Giovan Battista Carpi, "Paperinik" first appeared in a 1969 Italian Donald Duck comic story, featuring Donald continuing the legacy of an old famed thief, using his notes and some help from Gyro Gearloose, as he steals from the rich and acts as somewhat of an anti-hero.
Created initially as a response to readers requesting Donald getting a few of his own "wins" in the comics, the character developed over the years, with Paperinik eventually evolving into more of a superhero type character, and gained his own villains and allies, as his superhero persona grew as a character and grew in popularity.
In the 90s, in an attempt to reinvent the character for a modern audience, a group of young artists were brought in to create a new comic line featuring the character, later admitting they were heavily inspired by Marvel Comics of the 90s, called "Paperinik New Adventures". Duckburg was reimagined as a sprawling metropolis, and while the basic history of the character remained the same, he found a new ally through the intelligent AI known as One, who helps him through new gadgets made by his creator Everett Ducklair, as they fight off an alien race known as the Evronians who are hellbent on destroying the planet and sucking the life energy out of everyone on it. Along the way they meet new villains, and gain new allies such as a robot woman from the future known as Lyla, and an alien with a tragic past known as Xadhoom, while also dealing with reporter Angus Fangus, who constantly tries to smear the heroās good name.
The comic line was a success, going for 3 #0 issues, 50 mainline issues, and a sequel comic which ran for 18 issues and its own special. The comic was also briefly rebooted as "Pikappa" and ran for 32 issues.
Classic Paperinik stories continued to be made during and after this, and during the 2010s, the PKNA continuity returned under the "New Era" brand name, and also continue to be made to this day. Classic Paperinik also continues, with it even crossing over with various PKNA stuff during the "PK Universe" comic.
This collection is an attempt to gather every Paperinik story currently translated into English in one place. There's of course the issue of how to exactly name this collection, as "Paperinik" has two official English names.
During the 70s and 80s, a few Paperinik stories were translated into English and released in a few collections where he was named "Superduck", although these translations appear to be lost. During the early 2000s, Disney Adventures would publish their own Paperinik story in the pages of the magazine, naming him "Duck Avenger", to match with the magazine's initials. This name carried over to a few comic translations done by Gemstone in the early 2000s. When Boom Comics got the license to republish Duck comics, they used the Duck Avenger name as well... but when Disney started to put up additional Paperinik comics on the ComiXology app, they used the earlier translated name of "Superduck", both for their revised re-releases of the "Ultraheroes" crossover comic, and also for the official translations of the first 13 Pikappa comics and a few classic stories. However, once the license moved over to IDW and Fantagraphics, the "Duck Avenger" name was reinstated, and seems to have been used on everything since then.
I simply decided to use all three names for the top folder/title, and used what official English names we have for the specific series when labeling the inner folders, and used the Italian original name when an official English name didnāt exist.
This comic collects almost all of the official translations that exist of the Paperinik comics. Specifically, those by IDW, Gemstone, Boom, Disney ComiXology, and those by Fantagraphics. Whenever an official translation exists, that's presented as the default/proper version.
Additionally, I've included what I believe to be every single fan translation/scanlation that exists for the series. This includes translations of classic Paperinik comics, though those are greatly scattered and are definitely not comprehensive by a long shot. A lot of these were done by different translators, and because of this, the names used in each translation vary. Some adopt the "Duck Avenger" name, some use the "Superduck" name, and some simply use the "Paperinik" name. This carries over to other Paperinik exclusive characters such as Daisy's alterego Paperinika, which is Super Daisy in the official translations, but the "Duck Defender" in the fan translations (admittedly due to the suckiness of the official name), the great thief Donald took after, Fantomius (Fantomallard or the Phantom Thief in the official translations), etc. So don't expect great consistency with the names.
Thankfully, all of PKNA, P2, and the remaining issues of Pikappa were fully fan translated. All of these simply adopt the "Duck Avenger" name, so it's consistent thankfully (although due to Pikappa using the "Superduck" name in the official translation and āDuck Avengerā in the fan translation, the name isnāt consistent for the reboot's issues unfortunately).
Translators are fully credited within the file names, as I'd feel like a jerk if I didn't, and they deserve credit for the awesome work they've done. Although for the PKNA issues, I simply credited them to the "PKNA Translation Project". Some sources mistakenly credit them all to Banker, due to the available issues mainly being available to download only on his website, but, while he did translate a good chunk of them, the PKNA translations were actually done by a group of people. Headed by Lord Birch, who did a good number of the translations themselves, I unfortunately couldn't find a credit list listing who translated each individual issue. So, I simply credited the team, just remember that Birch and Banker did a good number of them along with a few other people.
For the āNew Eraā comics, Iāve included all of Bankerās translations of the first seven issues. Iāve also included @donphanti's scanlation of the 9th story, @uncaajās scanlations of stories 10-13, and @pktheduckavengerās scanlations of stories 14 and 15. Unca AJ also retranslated a few prior PK stories, which are included as alternatives.
I've included a bunch of extra comics as well, namely one-off stories and stuff connected to PKNA, such as the Disney Adventures comic, the video game tie-in comic, and a few anniversary strips.
Additionally, I've included all of the translated "Double Duck" comics I could find. For those who don't know, Double Duck was a comic with a similar premise of Donald having an alter-ego, although this time he was a super smart secret agent known as "Double Duck". Early issues already stated that he was the Duck Avenger on top of his secret agent gig, but eventually a full blown crossover comic was made with the PKNA series, confirming that they took place in the same universe and were the same Donald, just from different points in time. Because of this, I've included all 5 stories officially translated by either Boom Comics or Disney ComiXology, and also 18 out of Banker's 21 translations of later stories (sadly three story translations have dead download links and they don't seem to be mirrored anywhere), plus his translation of the crossover.
Iāve also included three translated āMickey Mouse Mystery Magazineā issues, which feature Mickey as a detective in a city known as Anderville. Made by a ton of the same staff as PKNA, Iāve heard rumors that there were plans at one point for a possible crossover, although Iām unsure. Still, Iāve included it due to the connection.
As an additional note, in cases where a story is only available in a TPB and is only one story of a TPB, Iāve included only an extract of it as part of the main collection, but the full TPB is included in full as an extra. The only exception is issues 4 and 5 of of PKNA, as they were only released in the TPB collection, and it only covers PKNA material in a collected format.
I believe this is the most complete/definitive collection of Paperinik/Duck Avenger/Superduck comics, at least that currently exist as of 4/2/2025. Only known missing scanlations (that currently exist) are Bankerās translations of Double Duck stories 7, 12, and 15. And the only known missing official translations are from old obscure and rare UK collections. Those include Donald Duck # 13 (1975), Jumbo Book #1 Superduck saves the day! (1985), Donald Duck Fun Library #8 (1978), Donald Duck Fun Library #10 (Unknown Date, Maybe the 70s?), and Donald Duck Fun Library #14 (Unknown Date).
If any new scanlations or translations are made, let me know! Iāll update the collection. But for those looking to get into Paperinik and donāt know where to look, hopefully this can be a great resource for you.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, during my research, I found a fansite called "Phantom Duck", which goes over a lot of the history of the Paperinik character's life and origins. This includes a detailed breakdown of the character, his gadgets, his hideout, and notably, his origins, which explains some stuff from comics currently not translated into English. There's also a ton of information about the great thief he is the successor to, Fantomius, who also gets a very detailed history section. The website doesn't seem to be finished, with a lot of pages being "Under Construction", but what pages are there are very interesting and insightful, especially for someone just getting into Paperinik as a character, even though it only focuses on the classic version of the character and doesn't really delve into the PKNA stuff. So, I converted every working page into a PDF, and then converted that into a high quality CBZ file!
